Systems for testing computing devices of a medical records system using a simulated environment are provided. The simulated environment is generated by identifying transaction traffic over the network, where the transaction traffic comprises messages of different transaction types. A computing device is configured to output a simulated status by extrapolating a performance of the computing devices upon receiving a series of messages indicating the transaction types. The output of the computing device may indicate an error in the simulated environment where the performance of a computing device exceeds a performance threshold. Based on the error indication, transaction traffic can be diverted from the computing device to another computing device having performance capacity.

Advanced simulation management tool for a medical records system

Systems and methods for encoding high resolution data associated with a relatively large number of bits to an encoded form having a relatively reduced number of bits. The method includes, by a processor: receiving an input image comprising one or more high resolution objects. The method further includes, for each of the one or more high resolution objects: identifying an object family for that object and determining whether a reference table exists for the object family. If a reference table exists for the object family, the method includes determining a size of that object, and identifying a tag based on the size. The method also includes encoding that object to form an encoded object having a relatively reduced number of bits, associating the identified tag with the encoded object, and saving the encoded object.

Methods and systems for enabling object attribute driven super resolution encoding

Embodiments of the present disclosure include methods and systems for altering an orientation of a logical cell at a multi-function device. In one embodiment, before rasterization, a user submits a job having multiple pages and an initial instruction to arrange 'n' number of pages on a single medium. Each page has a pre-defined orientation. Another instruction is received to alter a pre-defined orientation of a selected page in the corresponding logical cell. An N-up operation is performed to arrange the 'n' number of pages on the single medium. Each page arranged on the single medium represents a logical cell. While performing the N-up operation, the pre-defined orientation of a logical cell corresponding to the selected page is altered. The logical cell with the altered orientation is printed and the remaining logical cells with respective pre-defined orientation are printed on the single medium.

Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are disclosed herein for enabling inbound testing. Aspects herein provide a tool that can, from with a single application, generate test HL7 transaction messages and send the generated test HL7 messages to an inbound testing interface to monitor performance of a testing interface. The tool provides a mechanism to generate a large number of test HL7 messages having different identifier types and message types simultaneously. The tool also provides a mechanism to send large numbers of test HL7 messages, of different identifier types and message types, simultaneously, to a testing environment via multiple pipes.

According to exemplary methods, a print job is received into a computerized device. The computerized device includes a marking device having a programmed color space. The print job includes an electronic document and print job attributes with a spot color for use in rendering the print job. Raster processing of the electronic document is performed. An object in the electronic document involving the spot color is identified. Definition of the spot color is verified for the marking device. Responsive to the spot color not being defined for the marking device, color values for each pixel in the object are modified to zero. Overprint is enabled for the object so that underlying objects will show through.

Automatic suppression of unrecognized spot colors from a raster image

Print jobs call for printing multiple logical pages on the same sheet, using base colorants and an extension colorant, and call for a different number of printing passes of the extension colorant for different logical pages. A first bitmap is created, and a first printing pass prints the first bitmap. The first bitmap is then modified to leave only the extension colorant plane, to create a modified bitmap; and a second printing pass prints the modified bitmap on the same sheet. The modified bitmap is additionally modified by removing printing pixels for the logical pages that do not contain an instruction to perform an additional printing pass of the extension colorant; and an additional printing pass prints the modified bitmap. These printing passes are repeated until no more of the logical pages contain the instruction to perform an additional printing pass of the extension colorant.

What is disclosed is a system and method for detecting a folded page in a digital image of a scanned document. In one embodiment, the present method involves receiving a digital image of a document which has been converted to a digitized form using a document scanning device. The digital image is segmented horizontally and vertically to obtain a plurality of image segments. An edge profile is generated for the horizontal and vertical segments. A determination is then made, based on a comparison of the profiles, whether a page fold exists in the digital image. If a page fold is determined to exist in the digital image, the user is notified and the digital image is not sent to a print engine. Otherwise, the digital image is printed.

Methods and systems for thickening an interior region of a fill object are described. The method includes receiving a print job including an input image, and converting into a digital bitmap image comprised of an array of pixels, each pixel being assigned with a pixel value and an object tag information. Based on this, each pixel is defined as one of a boundary pixel of the input image, an edge pixel of the fill object in the input image, and an interior pixel of the fill object. Thereafter, the fattening of the edge pixels of the fill object, is followed by the fattening of the interior pixels of the fill object, for applying thickening to the interior region. After this, an output image is generated.

Methods and systems for printing clear tagged objects on clear plane are described herein. In an example, the system draws a bounding box for each block of text/graphic objects. Within each bounding box, an occupancy percentage of foreground pixels (tagged as clear objects) is computed against background pixels. If the computed occupancy percentage falls below a defined threshold value, then that text/graphic object is considered for application of dilation. Thus, the device described herein doesn't check the size of the text/graphic objects; rather checks for the occupancy percentage of the text/graphic objects within a bounding box. While constructing the clear plane to support flood clear, the clear values corresponding to the dilated pixels (pixels considered for dilation) will be intelligently modified. In this way, only intended and logically desired text/graphic objects undergo for dilation.

Methods and systems for creating raster image for clear objects on clear plane

According to exemplary methods, a processor of a printing device determines color values out of a first colorant combination using marking materials for standard colorants and marking materials for one or more extended gamut colors. The extended gamut color has colorants other than the standard colorants. Responsive to the first colorant combination including color values for each of a pair of two complementary colors, the processor calculates a second colorant combination that produces the same human-perceivable color as the first colorant combination. The second colorant combination includes only one color of the pair of two complementary colors. The printing device produces output using the second colorant combination for the standard colorants and the extended gamut color.

Automatic post processing of spot color combinations for a constrained colorant set

According to exemplary methods, a print job is received into a computerized device that includes a marking device. The print job specifies an imposition template defining multiple logical pages for a single sheet of print media according to an electronic document. The print job attributes also contain a first print colorant order and a different second print colorant order. Groups of logical pages are defined for each print colorant order, and buffers are created in which raster data associated with each group of logical pages are merged and untouched pixels are marked as negative pixels. The information from each buffer is printed on a single sheet of print media. Following printing of each buffer, the sheet of print media is returned to the marking device, so that information from the next buffer can be printed on the same side of the sheet of print media, using the marking device.

Partitioning raster images for multiple print colorant orders

Methods and systems for rendering an image. In an example embodiment, a step or operation can be implemented to pre-render white objects in an image with a background image set to a single complementary color. Such a single complimentary color assists in obtaining the textual content only from the complex background. A connected component analysis can be performed with respect to said image to identify elements in said images that should be rendered as objects composed of text and graphics. Tags are then assigned for final rendering of the image after performing said component analysis with respect to said image. Modification of tag values with respect to said images avoids unwanted artifacts such as, for example, bleed through, background closing, ghost effects, etc.

Adaptive selection of rendering intent for negative text embedded with image objects

Disclosed are methods and multi-function devices for auto-correction of shadow effects in a scanned image. The method includes receiving a first image including a colored twin-page scanned document including at least one of a shadow region in a central part of the first image, at least one darker region caused at one or more borders of the first image, and distorted orientation with respect to a base of the first image; re-positioning the shadow region present in the central part to generate a re-positioned first binary image such that the shadow region becomes perpendicular to the base; detecting a shadow region in a central region of the re-positioned first binary image; removing the detected at least one shadow region from the re-positioned first binary image to generate a second image; and correcting a skewed orientation of each of a cropped left side and right side of the second image.

Methods and systems for auto correction of defects in a scanned image

Methods and devices to improve the quality of graphics objects based on adaptive stroke thickening are disclosed. The method includes receiving a graphics object having at least one stroke. The graphics object is represented within an object window made of a plurality of cells. The method further includes identifying a fill region being defined by the stroke. Both the fill region and the stroke are represented by a group of cells. The identified fill region is tagged using a predefined flag indicating a tagged fill region or any its attributes. The stroke is strengthened unidirectionally away from the tagged fill region, where a stroke color associated with the stroke being strengthened is replaced by an adapted color provided the stroke color is same as a background color associated with a background, which is a part of the object window.

A system, device, and method for printing N-up documents with background forms, by receiving an instruction to print an N-up document, obtaining a document to be printed as the N-up document and a background form, receiving matchings of logical surfaces of the N-up document to the background form, decomposing the logical surfaces of the N-up document into raster images, generating tags, wherein each tag is associated with a pixel of a logical surface of the N-up document and identifies the logical surface, combining raster images of the logical surfaces into an N-up raster image, merging, using the tags, the background form with the N-up raster image to generate a merged N-up raster image, and printing the merged N-up raster image.
