A method of beam-based communication amongst a plurality of network nodes comprises detecting, by a subject node, a presence of a first set of nodes for beam-based communication, and receiving a list of a second set of nodes from at least a first node of the first set of nodes. Further, the method includes identifying at least a second node in the second set of nodes that is not detectable for beam-based communication by the subject node. The method comprises generating a distance-based mapping including distance information relating to the first set of nodes and the second node, from the subject node. Further, the method comprises transmitting, via beam-based communication by the subject node, content to a destination node based on a communication path determined using the distance-based mapping, the destination node being a node of one of the first set of nodes and the at least second node.

In an example embodiment, a method of optimizing service delivery performed by a UE operating in EN-DC mode is disclosed. The method comprises detecting that a network service is ongoing at the UE using a first radio access technology (RAT), based on an application request sent by the UE to a network, wherein the first RAT is one of long-term evolution (LTE) and NR. The method further comprises detecting, during the ongoing network service being availed using the first RAT, a frequency of one or more NR network procedures being performed by the UE to be greater than a first threshold frequency. The base station initiates addition of secondary cells that provide additional LADN services that are intended by the UE. The UE buffers data if the UE is located at an edge of a LADN service area.

The UE recovers data in the SCG bearers, lost due the issues in the NR network, through the MCG bearers. The UE can send a Tracking Area Update (TAU) to indicate the disabling of NR capability if the connectivity issues persist.
