A suture device is utilized in forming a purse string suture during, e.g., laparoscopic end to end anastomosis procedure, to effect joining of two opposing intestinal sections. The suture device is utilized in other procedures such as, e.g., transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME) for removal of low rectal and ultra-low rectal tumors and preservation of anal sphincters to avoid permanent stomas. In particular, the suture device is utilized in forming surgical stitches used to close an internal anal structure or to narrow a passage for performing further transanal dissection to create total mesorectal excision.

Laparoscopic purse string suture device

An endoscope and lens cleaning device assembly includes a tubular body, a visualization device including a lens, and a lens cleaning device. The visualization device is supported on a distal portion of the tubular body. The lens cleaning device is supported on the distal portion of the tubular body and includes an iris mechanism having a plurality of vanes. The vanes are movable between a first position in which the vanes are positioned radially outwardly of the lens of the visualization device and a second position in which the vanes cover the lens of the visualization device. Each of the vanes has a cleaning surface that is positioned to contact the lens of the visualization device as the vanes move between the first and second positions to clean the lens of the visualization device.

Endoscope and lens cleaning device assembly

A clip cartridge assembly for use with a reposable surgical clip applier includes a clip tray, a plurality of surgical clips, and a cover. The clip tray includes a plurality of distally oriented, deflectable, resilient fingers projecting from a base wall thereof. Each resilient finger terminates in a distal shoulder and a proximal end of the clip tray is configured for selective connection with a clip pusher bar of an endoscopic assembly of the reposable surgical clip applier. The cover includes a plurality of distally oriented, deflectable, resilient fingers projecting within a channel defined through proximal and distal ends thereof. Each resilient finger of the cover terminates in a distal shoulder and the cover includes a pair of opposed slots defined within sidewalls of the channel configured to slidably retain the clip tray and the plurality of surgical clips therein. A reposable surgical clip applier is also provided.

Endoscopic reposable surgical clip applier

A surgical clip applier includes a housing, a channel assembly, jaw assembly, and a first insert. The channel assembly extends distally from the housing and the jaw assembly is disposed at the distal end of the channel assembly. The jaw assembly includes a first and second jaws constructed of a first material. Each of the jaws defines a recess extending longitudinally along opposing inner surfaces thereof. The first insert is disposed in the recess of at least one of the first or second jaws. The first insert is constructed of a second material different from the first material.

An electrosurgical forceps includes a first member including a first housing and a first jaw member with a tissue contacting surface. A second member includes a second jaw member with a tissue contacting surface configured to communicate electrosurgical energy with the tissue contacting surface of the first jaw member a fluid receptacle at least partially disposed within the first housing. The fluid receptacle defines first and second receptacle sections, the first receptacle section defining a first internal dimension and the second receptacle section defining a second internal dimension less than the first internal dimension. A fluid is disposed within the fluid receptacle. A trigger plunger is mounted within the fluid receptacle. A knife shaft is at least partially disposed within the fluid receptacle distal of the trigger plunger and the fluid. A knife blade is disposed adjacent the first and second jaw members.
