Visual inspection methods, systems, and apparatuses are presented for the in situ visual inspection of aircraft cabin windows installed in an aircraft from within an aircraft cabin, and where access and ability to visually inspect such aircraft cabin windows is otherwise restricted by placement of aircraft cabin fixtures blocking ordinary viewing of such aircraft cabin window from within an aircraft cabin. The visual inspection is conducted by activating an image capturing device of a personal electronic device incorporated into or otherwise in communication with an aircraft cabin fixture positioned adjacent to an aircraft cabin window.

System, apparatus, and method for inspecting an aircraft window

A thermal acoustic insulation blanket is presented. The thermal acoustic insulation blanket comprises a composite laminate forming a burn through layer.

Aircraft thermal acoustic insulation blanket

An insulation system comprises a first insulation blanket and a second insulation blanket. The first insulation blanket extends circumferentially within a curved body. The second insulation blanket extends circumferentially within the curved body and covers a zero position of the curved body. A portion of the second insulation blanket covers a portion of the first insulation blanket so that the portion of the second insulation blanket is between the portion of the first insulation blanket and the curved body to form an overlap. The overlap is positioned within a range having an absolute value of 5 to 40 degrees from the zero position of the curved body.

Insulation system

A blanket assembly for use in at least one bay and with at least one frame member of an aircraft, the assembly including an insulation blanket. The insulation blanket includes a bay section sized and shaped to fit within the bay and of sufficient thickness to provide insulation to the bay, a return section disposed on a first side of the bay section; and a cap section disposed on a second side of the bay section, opposite the first side. The cap section is sized and shaped to at least partially cover the frame member when the cap section is wrapped around the frame member, the cap section being of sufficient thickness to provide insulation to the frame member. The bay section, the return section, and the cap section are of unitary construction.
