In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a cluster partitioning module and an optimization module. The cluster partitioning module receives a first performance indicator set for a first instance of a time period set. The cluster partitioning module defines a recurring schedule set, where each time period from the recurring schedule set is associated with a performance indicator from the first performance indicator set and within a predefined range of a performance indicator associated with the remaining time periods from the recurring schedule set. The optimization module receives a second performance indicator set for a second instance of the time period set. The optimization module defines a metric value based on the second performance indicator set, and causes a change in a network implementation based on the metric value at each time period from a third instance of the time period set and from the recurring schedule set.

Methods and apparatus for partitioning wireless network cells into time-based clusters

In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a management module implemented in at least one of a memory or a processing device. The management module is configured to receive a signal associated with a value of a performance indicator that a first process module is configured to optimize using a metric. The management module is configured to optimize a value associated with the metric based at least in part on the value of the performance indicator that the first process module is configured to optimize and a value of a performance indicator that a second process module is configured to optimize using the metric. The management module is configured to send a signal to the first process module such that the first process module modifies a value of the metric based on the value associated with the metric.

Methods and apparatus for implementing a self optimizing-organizing network manager

A non-transitory processor-readable medium stores code to cause a processor to receive a performance indicator associated with a first mode. The code causes the processor to calculate, using the performance indicator associated with the first mode, a first metric value associated with a first metric and an objective of the first mode. The code causes the processor to calculate, using the first metric value, a second metric value associated with a second metric and an objective of a second mode. The second metric value partially compensates for a change in a performance indicator associated with the second mode when the first metric value is implemented. The code causes the processor to send a signal associated with the first metric value and a signal associated with the second metric value to an antenna module such that the antenna module implements the first metric value and the second metric value.

Methods and apparatus for coordination in multi-mode networks

Methods for controlling orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) communications over satellite links. The methods include estimating a differential delay in a satellite spotbeam between a mean propagation delay in the spotbeam and a propagation delay between a user terminal in the spotbeam and a satellite, estimating an overlap between an OFDMA uplink frame and an OFDMA downlink frame as a result of the differential delay, and providing a guard band in the OFDMA uplink frame and/or the OFDMA downlink frame to reduce an overlap between remaining portions of the OFDMA uplink frame and the OFDMA downlink frame other than the guard band. Corresponding systems and devices are also disclosed.
