A tapping apparatus (), provided with a container () and a pressure control device () for controlling pressure in an inner space () of the container, wherein the pressure control device () includes a compartment () with a pressure medium therein and a dispensing opening () with a valve mechanism (), wherein an operating element () is provided for operation of the valve mechanism by a user, for supplying an amount of pressure medium from the compartment () into an inner space () of the container.

Tapping apparatus with pressure control means

A tapping rod () with a beverage valve (), a gas valve () cooperating therewith, and a collar (), while in or on the collar a connecting device () is fitted, which connecting device comprises a pressure body () for opening the beverage valve () and the gas valve (), wherein: the pressure body () comprise or defines at least one first beverage channel () for bringing, with the beverage valve in open position, the inner space of a keg, in particular a riser of the taping rod, into fluid communication with a beverage dispensing line; the pressure body comprises or defines at least one gas channel () for bringing, with the gas valve in open position, the inner space of the keg into fluid communication with a gas supply line.

Tapping rod

An assembly of a container and a connecting device for connecting the container to a pressure source, wherein the container is provided with a tapping rod having therein at least one valve for releasing an input and/or output opening of the container, wherein the connecting device is provided with a housing with a first coupling and the container is provided with a metal outer casing with a cylindrical neck, which neck is secured by a first end on the outer casing and adjacent the opposite second end is provided with an outwardly extending second flange, which defines a second coupling for cooperation with the first coupling, wherein the tapping rod has been secured in the neck and wherein the neck, between the flange and first end, is substantially smoothly finished on the outside, and has a diameter that is smaller than the maximum diameter of the flange, the arrangement being such that in coupled condition of the connecting device and the container the second coupling is at least supported against the underside of the flange proximal to the first end of the neck, and the tapping rod is locked in the neck by at least the connecting device.
