A method for calibrating sensors in a drilling apparatus provided with a movable carrier, a frame, a boom assembly mounted to rotate about a turning axis vertical to the frame, and an angle sensor for measuring the turning angle of the boom assembly and gravity-based inclination sensors for measuring inclination. When the boom assembly is turned in relation to the frame, the value of the turning angle and the inclination values provided by the inclination sensors are measured, and on the basis of the measured values, deviation of the values of the inclination sensors from the real inclination angle value are determined.

Method and arrangement for calibrating sensors in drilling equipment

An assembly with an electronic measuring apparatus for installing said electronic measuring apparatus on a rim of a vehicle wheel, on which a pneumatic tire may be mounted comprises: at least one sensor for sensing value(s) inside the mounted pneumatic tire; a housing having a bottom side adapted to seat against a rim bed in said rim, an outer side, and an attaching side connecting said bottom side and outer side; a tire valve body having a stem projecting through an opening in the rim and a shoulder extending radially at one end said valve body, and a locking piece for engagement with said stem to secure said tire valve body to said rim; an eccentric attachment component in said shoulder, said attachment component being eccentric in respect to said stem and having a length projecting away from said shoulder in an opposite direction than said stem; and a receiving hole or receiving recess in the attaching side of said housing for receiving said eccentric attachment component, whereupon said housing is movable in a plane perpendicular to the length of said eccentric attachment component.

Method for determining the position of a tool of a rock drill

A method, a rock drilling equipment (1) a measuring device (10) for aligning a feeding beam (5) in the rock drilling equipment (1) with a drilling direction. In the method, an angle Sg(g) between the drilling direction (S.sub.p) and a direction (S.sub.t) defined by a fixed point selected as a point of sight (T) is measured and stored in a memory, and the feeding beam (5) is adjusted at the following holes so that it is positioned at an angle .beta. corresponding to the drilling direction (S.sub.p) measured with respect to a direction (S.sub.a) of a carrier (1a) by means of the point of sight (T). The measuring device (10) comprises two mutually turntable discs (11, 12) of which one is positioned to indicate the drilling direction (S.sub.p) and the other is turned in such a way that its measuring line points towards a fixed point serving as a point of sight (T), thus defining a reference line (S.sub.t).
