A method includes detecting a change in connectivity information for a mobile device. The connectivity information allows another device to connect to the mobile device at least while the mobile device is wirelessly connected to a network. In response to the change in connectivity information for a mobile device, performing an update with a service provider to indicate the change in connectivity information. Another method includes receiving an update from a first electronic device, where the update indicates one or more changes in connectivity information for the first electronic device. The method includes updating one or more second electronic devices with changed connectivity information of the first electronic device. Another method includes receiving from a service provider an update of changed connectivity information for a first electronic device for which a second electronic device is subscribed at the service provider for updates to connectivity information for the first electronic device.

Cloud-based connectivity information discovery

The invention relates to a method for utilizing a cellular terminal to simultaneously receive messages and process messages to be sent without the user having to change between display modes of the terminal. For instance, in response to a press of an alphanumeric key, a pop-up display is opened in a display area of the cellular terminal. The pop-up display covers a part of the terminal's display area and is used for composing/editing a user message suitable for forming part of a chat. The invention also relates to a cellular terminal utilizing the method and computer program products according to the invention.

Method for chatting, and terminal utilizing the method

A call establishment method and corresponding communications terminal for a trunked radio network such as TETRA () to establish a call from one network () to another network () through a gateway (). A target telephone number is dialled at the calling communications terminal storing unique associations between telephone numbers and call types. Alternatively the call type is requested from a user of the calling communications terminal in case no call type is stored with the target telephone number. The gateway () through which the target telephone number can be reached is then selected on the basis of the call type.
