Embodiments are directed to a new radio distributed unit (NRDU) simulation server for testing in 5G standalone (SA) communication network. The NRDU simulation server includes a memory, a processor, a communicator. The processor includes a test controller connected to the plurality of simulated UEs configured to receive at least one testing profile associated with a DUT and a multi user equipment (UE) simulator (MUCE) configured to dynamically generate a plurality of simulated UEs based on the at least one testing profile. The processor also includes a DU simulator configured to generate a plurality of simulated DUs based on the at least one testing profile; an IP security Manager (IPSEC MGR) configured to simulate internet protocol (IPSEC) functionality between at least one DU and the DUT; and a first traffic generator and a second traffic generator configured to generate a traffic profile based on the at least one testing profile.

Testing in 5G SA communication network

Embodiments are directed to a NRDU handover simulator () for performing new radio (NR) standalone (SA) handover simulation. The NRDU handover simulator () includes UE group simulator () configured to generate multiple simulated UE groups and a DU simulator () configured to generate multiple simulated DUs and a test controller () connected to simulated UE groups and a traffic generator (). The test controller () is configured to receive an input for performing handover for testing a DUT () and determine a simulated UE group associated with a simulated DU for performing the handover based on the input. The test controller () is configured to cause the traffic generator () to generate a traffic profile based on the input for performing the handover of the simulated UE group and perform simulated handover of the UE group associated with the simulated DU periodically, for testing the DUT ().

NR SA handover simulation

Embodiments are directed to a NRDU data path simulation server for testing data throughput capacity in 5G communication network. The NRDU data path simulation server includes a memory comprising a plurality of memory blocks, a processor and a communicator. The processor includes a test controller to receive testing profile for testing the data throughput capacity of NGCU, a DU simulator to generate multiple simulated DUs and multiple simulated UEs based on the testing profile. The processor includes traffic generators to generate multiple threads of data traffic for testing the data throughput capacity of the and a scheduler to schedule each thread to access entities of the simulated DU for optimizing the data throughput capacity and a UP controller to optimize the data throughput capacity of the NRDU data path simulation server by converging a data path of the simulated UEs and a data path of the simulated DUs.

Embodiments are directed to an ENDC simulation server for testing a node in a wireless communication network. A processor of the ENDC simulation server includes a simulated VDU connected to a VCU to be tested and a simulated NRDU connected to a NGCU to be tested. The processor includes a test controller connected to simulated UEs configured to receive testing profile associated with the ENDC simulation server and a MUCE configured to generate a multiple simulated UEs and a first traffic generator to generate a traffic profile based on the testing profile. The simulated VDU includes an LTE DU simulator to generate simulated LTE DUs based on the testing profile and a second traffic generator to generate a traffic profile based on the testing profile. The simulated NRDU includes a 5G DU simulator to generate simulated 5G DUs based on the testing profile.
