Process for the preparation of aromatic compounds

The invention discloses a process for treating black liquor comprising pyrolyzing black liquor in a fluidized bed reactor to obtain solid particles and pyrolyzed black liquor gas, heating the solid mass, returning the heated solid mass to the fluidized bed reactor for use in the pyrolysis reaction; condensing the pyrolyzed black liquor gas to obtain a condensate and recover heat and a residual gas released during condensation for heating the solid mass to a predetermined temperature for that is required for the pyrolysis.

Process for treating black liquor

A process for extracting a phosgene compound, comprising providing a membrane extracting unit comprising at least one extracting cell that comprises at least one membrane contactor module having at least two sides, a gas side and a liquid side; letting an initial gas stream comprising a phosgene compound flow on the gas side of the membrane contactor module; and letting an extractant liquid stream, suitable for dissolving a phosgene compound, flow on the liquid side of the membrane contactor module so that the extractant liquid stream absorbs the phosgene compound from the initial gas stream and provides a second extractant liquid stream enriched with the phosgene compound.

According to the present invention, a method of producing DADPM is provided. The method comprises: converting benzene into nitrobenzene thereby providing a nitrobenzene stream and a first aqueous waste stream comprising nitrobenzene; converting said nitrobenzene from said nitrobenzene stream into aniline, thereby providing an aniline stream and a first part of a second aqueous waste stream comprising aniline; removing nitrobenzene from said aniline prior to converting said aniline from said aniline stream into DADPM; converting said aniline from said aniline stream into DADPM thereby providing a second part of said second aqueous waste stream comprising aniline; stripping aniline and nitrobenzene from said first and second aqueous waste stream by means of a stripping column; providing the stripped aniline and nitrobenzene to said aniline cleaning apparatus or to said nitrobenzene stream.

Method for producing DADPM

According to the present invention, a chemical installation is provided. The chemical installation comprises A first unit for providing a first aqueous waste stream comprising nitrobenzene; At least a second unit for providing a second aqueous waste stream comprising aniline. The chemical installation comprises an aniline cleaning apparatus for removing nitrobenzene from aniline, and further comprising a stripping column for stripping aniline from an aqueous stream. The first and second aqueous waste stream are provided to the stripping column, stripping aniline and nitrobenzene from the first and the aqueous waste stream, and the stripped aniline and nitrobenzene is provided to the aniline cleaning apparatus.
