A plurality of structural fibers are laid onto a substrate. The plurality of structural fibers are stitched together with a thread in a specified stitching pattern to form a composite preform. The thread in the specified stitching pattern secures the structural fibers to each other such that the structural fibers provide a tailored load path within the composite preform and presents a visible image on an outer surface of the composite preform.

Vehicle strut braces are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a strut brace including a first portion to removably couple to a cowl of a vehicle, a second portion to removably couple to a first shock tower on a first side of the vehicle and a second shock tower on a second side of the vehicle, and a third portion to removably couple to at least one of (i) a first longitudinal member on the first side of the vehicle and a second longitudinal member on the second side of the vehicle or (ii) an upper front rail on the first side of the vehicle and the second side of the vehicle, the third portion to traverse an axial centerline of the vehicle.

A vehicle includes members spaced from each other and elongated along a vehicle-longitudinal axis. A battery module includes end plates spaced from each other along the vehicle-longitudinal axis. Battery cells are sandwiched between the end plates and a connector extends from one end plate to the other end plate. The end plates extend from one of the members to the other of the members.

A vehicle includes a vehicle frame elongated along a longitudinal axis. The vehicle frame includes a first rail and a second rail spaced from each other and each elongated along the longitudinal axis. The vehicle frame includes a longitudinal beam between the first and second rails and elongated along the longitudinal axis. The vehicle includes a vehicle body. The vehicle body includes a cross-beam directly connected to the longitudinal beam and to the first and second rails.

Vehicle platform

A mounting rail assembly for mounting a seat to a vehicle is provided. The mounting rail assembly includes a substrate positioned between a first U-shaped track and a second U-shaped track in addition to one or more attachment members configured to couple the first and second U-shaped tracks and provide a clamping pressure to the substrate. The first and second U-shaped tracks include a plurality of apertures to receive the one or more attachment members.
