Techniques for reducing wireless interference are provided. A wireless local area network (WLAN) is providing, by an access point using a first radio. It is determined to initiate a geolocation process for the access point using a second radio. A first amount of interference at the second radio caused by the first radio is determined, and either a hot start geolocation acquisition process or a cold start geolocation acquisition process is selectively used for the AP based on comparing the first amount of interference to one or more criteria.

Interference reduction or prevention in collocated gelocation and wireless connectivity systems

Techniques for enhanced wireless sensing or ranging are provided. First and second channel state information (CSI) data, for a first and second link of a plurality of links in a multi-link operation (MLO) system, is collected. A set of channel parameters is estimated, based on the second CSI data, using a channel propagation model. First predicted CSI data for the first link is generated based on the estimated set of channel parameters. The first CSI data is calibrated based on the first predicted CSI data, comprising determining at least one of an amplitude difference or a phase difference between the first CSI data and the first predicted CSI data. Aggregated CSI data is generated based on the calibrated first CSI data and the second CSI data, and at least one of wireless sensing or wireless ranging is performed based on the aggregated CSI data.

Multi-link operations-based WiFi sensing and ranging

A system includes a memory and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory. The processor, in response to determining that a first number of transmissions over a first link with a first frequency has failed, selects a second link with a second frequency for transmission. The second frequency is lower than the first frequency. The processor also, in response to determining that a second number of transmissions over the second link has failed, one or more of (i) stop the transmissions over the second link or (ii) begins transmissions over a third link with a third frequency. The second number is greater than the first number.

Link coordination in multi-link devices

A network controller and various methods for grouping access points for AFC are presented. A method includes assigning a plurality of access points to a plurality of groups based at least in part on stored AFC reports for the plurality of access points, determining, for each group of the plurality of groups, a centroid and an uncertainty range, and generating, for each group of the plurality of groups, an AFC query using the determined centroid and uncertainty range for the corresponding group.

Grouping access points for automatic frequency coordination

Improving backscattering and, specifically, a physical Layer transmit mode for improving the Signal-to-Interference Ratio (SIR) of backscatter signals may be provided. A transmitter may determine a Backscatter Device (BKD) to send a transmission to for backscattering. The transmitter may determine a width of a puncture in the transmission. Next, the transmitter may transmit the transmission to the BKD. The transmitter may receive feedback from a receiver about decoding a backscattered signal generated using the transmission. The transmitter may adjust the width of the puncture for a subsequent transmission based on the feedback.

In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a method including: determining a series of predetermined phases for wireless signals to be used in location calculations for a station device accessing a wireless access point; reflecting wireless signals from the wireless access point off of an intelligent reflecting surface to the station device; and controlling the intelligent reflecting surface such that a series of the wireless signals are reflected off of the intelligent reflecting surface with the predetermined phases.

A system and methods by which a reconfigurable intelligent surface device is dynamically configured to control the reflection of transmissions made between an access point and one or more client devices so as to protect the transmissions from being properly received by an unauthorized device. These methods may be used to maintain data confidentiality, particularly for remote workers. The positions of the access point and client devices are used to configure the reconfigurable intelligent surface device to reflect the transmissions inward and avoid/minimize leakage outside a physical space.

A method for identifying a location of an (AP) includes receiving a first location measurement associated with a first measurement variant and a second location measurement associated with a second measurement variant from a first AP; receiving a third location measurement associated with the first measurement variant and a fourth location measurement associated with the second measurement variant from a second AP; determining weights associated with the location measurements; determining a first location associated with the first AP and a second location associated with the second AP based on a first weight, a second weight, a third weight, and a fourth weight; determining a confidence of the first location based on a comparison of the first location measurement and the second location measurement.

Automated position estimation based on coordinating access points

This disclosure describes techniques for using an anchored endpoint to enhance MFA authentication of a client device. A method performed at least in part by a security service includes authenticating of a client device connecting to a secure resource. The method also includes determining a first Wi-Fi fingerprint of the client device, determining that the client device is within a threshold proximity to an anchor device, and determining a second Wi-Fi fingerprint of the anchor device. The method also includes detecting a change to the first Wi-Fi fingerprint of the client device and determining that the second Wi-Fi fingerprint of the anchor device has not changed. The method also includes determining whether the client device is within the threshold proximity of the anchor device, if it is, access to the secured resource continues to be allowed, if it is not, a reauthentication of the client device is triggered.

Next, from each of the plurality of client devices on their respective corresponding non-overlapping sub-channel, a respective corresponding preamble may be received. Time and frequency synchronization may then be performed for each of the plurality of client devices based on their respective corresponding preamble.

In one embodiment, a device may obtain sensor measurements from an environmental sensor of an access point. The device may obtain traffic telemetry data regarding network traffic handled by the access point. The device may generate, based on the sensor measurements and the traffic telemetry data, a sampling configuration of the environmental sensor of the access point. The device may cause the access point to collect additional sensor measurements from its environmental sensor according to the sampling configuration.

Optimal determination of wireless network pathway configurations may be provided. A computing device may detect, at a first network Access Point (AP), inference on a channel with a second AP. Then, the computing device can check availability of a redundant radio at the second AP. Based on the availability, the computing device can establish a new radio link with the redundant radio at the second AP and reroute data traffic over the new radio link to the second AP. After establishing the new radio link, the computing device can then sever the channel with the second AP.

Access Point ranging and placement on a floorplan may be provided. A host AP may range each neighbor AP of the host AP. One or more neighbor APs that failed ranging with the host AP may be categorized in a failed neighbor AP list. The host AP may re-range each of the one or more neighbor APs in the failed neighbor AP list with a modified ranging parameter. At least one neighbor AP of the one or more neighbor APs may be categorized in the failed neighbor AP list that succeeded in re-ranging with the host AP in an extended range neighbor AP list.

Access point (AP) ranging and placement on a floorplan

This technology allows for determining the location of client devices via radio scanning for triggered orthogonal frequency-division multiple access ('OFDMA') uplinks. Access points (“APs”) are configured for OFDMA transmissions. A first AP transmits a trigger frame on particular channel to stations in the wireless network. Neighboring APs scan channels for trigger frames (“TF”). Upon detection of a TF, neighboring APs associate a station identifier with a frequency allocation, or resource unit, in the TF. The neighboring APs receive an OFDMA uplink from the stations, determine a received signal strength indicator (“RSSI”) value for each frequency allocation in the OFDMA uplink, and transmit the RSSI values with the associated station identifier to the first AP. The first AP determines the location of each station by mapping a distance value to the RSSI values.

Network traffic interference detection and management may be provided. An infringement event by an infringing Access Point (AP) on a Restricted Target Wake Time (rTWT) transmission opportunity (TxOp) associated with a victim AP may be detected, and information associated with the infringement event may be added to an infringement list, wherein the information includes a MAC address associated with the infringing AP. A controller, may receive the infringement list and notify the infringement event to the infringing AP. The infringing AP may determine whether a transmission associated with the infringement event is low latency and high priority. When the transmission is not low latency and high priority the infringing AP may modify future transmissions based on the notification. When the transmission is low latency and high priority the infringing AP may notify the controller that the transmission is low latency and high priority. The controller may then create a negotiation between the victim AP and the infringing AP, wherein the negotiation comprises managing future transmissions of the victim AP and the infringing AP.
