A system is disclosed, with a non-transitory computer-readable medium; a communications interface; and a processor communicatively coupled to the non-transitory computer-readable medium and the communication interface, the processor configured to execute processor executable instructions stored in the non-transitory computer-readable medium. The instructions may cause the processor to receive, from a first client device via a chat channel, a request to schedule a video conference. The chat channel may be configured to enable one or more users to exchanges messages using a respective client device. The processor may further determine a meeting time for the video conference based on one or more parameters associated with a set of users having access to the chat channel. The processor may further schedule the video conference based on the meeting time. The processor may further post, within the chat channel, a meeting notification, where the meeting notification includes a link to the video conference.

Schedule a meeting from a chat channel

Methods and systems provide for a spatial chat view dashboard within a messaging platform. A system displays, at a client device, a dashboard user interface for a messaging platform, consisting of at least a dashboard virtual background and one or more spatial chat rooms. Each of the spatial chat rooms is a spatial representation of a chat session associated with a number of participants. The system receives, from the client device, a selection of a spatial chat room from the one or more spatial chat rooms. The system then displays a spatial chat user interface comprising the selected spatial chat room.

A system is disclosed, where a non-transitory computer-readable medium including a communications interface and a processor, communicatively coupled to the non-transitory computer-readable medium and the communications interface. The processor may be configured to execute processor executable instructions stored in the non-transitory computer-readable medium. The processor may access one or more chat channels, where the one or more chat channels are established by a chat and video conference provider. The processor may determine that one or more messages, directed to a user via the one or more chat channels, includes one or more unread messages. The processor may generate a notification of the one or more unread messages corresponding to the one or more chat channels. The processor may generate an unread landing page including the one or more unread messages from each of the one or more chat channels.

Example methods and systems for providing notifications of unread messages is provided. A client device detects an input action proximate to a folder created by a recipient user account. The folder includes one or more online chats. The one or more online chats includes at least one unread message. The client device provides a notification relating to the at least one unread message in the one or more online chats in the folder. The notification includes at least one online chat identity that correspond to at least one online chat of the one or more online chats including the at least one unread message. The client device receives a selection of a first online chat identity that corresponds to a first online chat within the folder. Based on the selection of the first online chat identity, the client device provides access to corresponding unread messages in the first online chat.

User initiated notifications for chat sections

Various embodiments of an apparatus, method(s), system(s) and computer program product(s) described herein are directed to a Reminder Engine. The Reminder Engine detects a selection, by a first user account, of one or more reminder attributes for a message received in an online chat session. The Reminder Engine generates a reminder object for the message according to the one or more selected reminder attributes. The Reminder Engine receives a reminder notification based on expiration of a duration attribute associated with the reminder object.

Methods and systems provide for a spatialized display of chat messages within a messaging platform. First, the system displays, for each of a number of participants within a messaging session, a spatial chat user interface (hereinafter 'UI') consisting of: a virtual background; and one or more spatialized avatars representing the participants. The system receives initial chat messages sent by a participant from the plurality of participants, then displays, adjacent to each of a subset of the spatialized avatars, one or more initial chat bubbles corresponding to messages sent by one or more of the participants represented by the subset of the spatialized avatars. Concurrently or subsequently, the system displays one or more other participant chat bubbles. The system receives additional chat messages sent by the participant, and then displays the additional chat bubbles, repositioning the initial chat bubbles while the additional chat bubbles are displayed in their place.

Various embodiments of an apparatus, method(s), system(s) and computer program product(s) described herein are directed to a Folder Engine. The Folder Engine detects a hover action initiated by a recipient user account proximate to a folder created by the recipient user account. Based on detecting the hover action, the Folder Engine displays one or more notifications that correspond to one or more online chats selected by the recipient user account to be organized in the folder. The Folder Engine receives a selection from the recipient user account of a first notification that corresponds to a first online chat within the folder. Based on the selection of the first notification, the Folder Engine initiates access of the first online chat by the recipient user account.
