Embodiments of the present disclosure include techniques for storing and updating data in a database. In one embodiment, data elements are stored in a many to one relationship in different tables. When data updates occur, the records to be updated are divided into batches and sorted. Database transactions to update the batches are performed in parallel. When one transaction accesses a record in the database, the record is locked. Other batches accessing the locked record may wait until the record is unlocked to complete their updates. The present techniques may improve database processing by reducing or eliminating database deadlocks, for example.

Systems and methods for preventing database deadlocks during synchronization

Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for automatically detecting potential performance degradation in a data analytics system including multiple servers, actions include determining a threshold performance score for each server of the multiple servers during an initial period, the threshold performance scores being determined at least partially based on a report generated by a respective server, and, after the initial period, and for each server: intermittently calculating a performance score, comparing the performance score to the threshold performance score to determine whether a violation indicating performance degradation occurs, and transmitting a notification to report consecutive violations.

Impact analysis of an object is performed by selecting an object and determining impacted objects corresponding to the object. A type of the object is determined. A query is formulated and executed to retrieve relationship objects from a relationship table matching the type of the selected object. Nested properties associated with the relationship objects for the individual relationship objects are determined iteratively. A parent property associated with the nested properties is identified. A query is formulated and executed to fetch dependent values corresponding to the dependent values. The dependent values are added to a list. A query is formulated and executed to determine impacted objects corresponding to the dependent values. The impacted objects are displayed in a graphical chart.

System to perform impact analysis of objects

Insights gleaned from statistical analysis of a dataset of an in-memory database, may be obtained with high throughput. In response to a user query, a Data Inference Engine (DIE) provides statistically valid measure/dimension combinations of the dataset to an analysis tool. A master procedure may be executed at search query runtime, allowing timely filtering of output of the analysis tool based on columns provided in the user request. Inputs/outputs of the master procedure may avoid storing physical tables, reducing maintenance. The master procedure may comprise individual sub-procedures (e.g. determining outliers, percentage contribution) executed in parallel. Output of sub-procedure(s) may be formatted per a final output format, facilitating union therebetween. Embodiments may filter certain measure/dimension combinations received from the DIE. For example, embodiments may consider only unique measure/dimension combinations (irrespective of dimension order), a limited number of combinations (e.g. &#x2266;20), and/or combinations having a limited number of dimensions (e.g. &#x2266;3).
