Systems and methods for measuring cardiac output are provided. The systems and methods generate an ultrasound image based on ultrasound imaging data of a patient acquired by an ultrasound probe. The systems and methods automatically designate a region of interest (ROI) within the ultrasound image, and acquire spectral data sets for corresponding candidate Doppler gates within the ROI based on Doppler data acquired by the ultrasound probe. The systems and methods automatically identify a select Doppler gate from the candidate Doppler gates based on a characteristic of the spectral data sets, and calculate a cardiac output of the patient based on the select Doppler gate.

Methods and systems for measuring cardiac output

Methods and systems for controlling communication of data in an ultrasound system are provided. One method includes receiving ultrasound data from a plurality of channels of an ultrasound probe in an ultrasound system and digitally demodulating the received ultrasound data such that a data transfer rate of the digitally demodulated ultrasound data is lower than a data transfer rate of the received ultrasound data before digital demodulation. The method further includes processing the digitally demodulated ultrasound data, wherein the processing is performed using a processor of the ultrasound system.

Method and system for controlling communication of data via digital demodulation in a diagnostic ultrasound system

Methods and systems for ultrasound data processing are provided. One method includes acquiring channel ultrasound data from a plurality of channel connected to a plurality of elements of an ultrasound probe and storing the channel ultrasound data from the plurality of channels. The method further includes generating ultrasound images based on processing of the acquired channel ultrasound data and displaying the ultrasound images. The method also includes performing additional processing on the stored channel ultrasound data while the ultrasound images are displayed and displaying updated ultrasound images generated by the additional processing.

Method and apparatus for exporting ultrasound data

A system and method for streaming unprocessed medical image data from a medical imaging system to a remote terminal is provided. A medical imaging system acquires medical image data, generates unprocessed medical image data, and then transmits the unprocessed medical image data to a remote terminal. The remote terminal receives the unprocessed medical image data, processes the data to render a medical image and displays the medical image to an operator at the remote terminal. Additionally, the operator may control imaging parameters at the remoter terminal for use in rendering the medical image. Additionally, the operator may control imaging parameters on the medical imaging system. Also, the operator at the remoter terminal and the operator at the medical imaging system may communicate with each other during the examination through the medical imaging system.
