A browser executing on a computer terminal associated with a merchant receives a payment request for a purchase by a customer from the merchant. The computer terminal transmits, over a communications network to a mobile communication device associated with the customer, a push notification including the payment request and a set of instructions. The payment request indicates an identifier and amount of the purchase. The set of instructions causes the mobile communication device to activate a card reader using a mobile payment app, present the purchase amount to the customer on a touch-sensitive display of the mobile computing device, receive an acceptance of the purchase amount from the customer via the touch-sensitive display, and authorize the card reader to process payment for the purchase amount based on the acceptance. The computer terminal receives, over the communications network, a confirmation of the processed payment from the mobile computing device.

This disclosure relates to systems and methods for processing electronic payments for customer purchases. In some implementations, a system receives a payment request from a merchant, and transmits payment information to a mobile computing device associated with the merchant. The payment information includes a transaction ID to identify the purchase, a purchase amount, and instructions that cause the mobile computing device to activate a card reader, present a notification of the purchase amount to the customer, receive an acceptance of the purchase amount from the customer, and authorize the card reader to process an electronic payment for the purchase amount. The system receives payment confirmation from the mobile computing device, and provides the parameter confirmation to the merchant.

This disclosure relates to systems and methods for processing electronic payments for customer purchases. In some implementations, a mobile computing device receives a payment request identifying a sales transaction between a merchant and a customer. The payment request indicates a purchase amount owed by the customer to the merchant, and carries a set of instructions. The mobile computing device activates a card reader based at least in part on the set of instructions, receives customer authorization for electronic payment of the purchase amount, instructs the card reader to process a credit card for the purchase amount based on receiving the customer authorization, and receives confirmation of payment of the purchase amount from the card reader.

A file management system provides one or more virtual file listing displays through which a user can select and access files and an improved password vault created through the file management system. When files listed in the one or more virtual file listing displays are selected for access, the appropriate parent data processing application(s), and/or version(s) of the appropriate parent data processing application(s), is/are identified by the file management system and the appropriate parent data processing application(s) is/are opened/launched automatically through the file management system. The individual passwords associated with the selected files are then automatically provided to the appropriate parent data processing application(s) by the password vault, and/or through the file management system. The file management system, and improved password vault, are then used to automatically perform file processing functions, such as batch processing of files and/or file restoration.

Method and system for providing a file management system including automated file processing features

A file management system is provided that is associated with one or more parent applications. One or more virtual file listing display parameters are selected and/or defined that determine how related files will be identified, grouped, and/or otherwise displayed, in a virtual file listing display. One or more data storage locations where the user stores existing client and/or project files are designated and then scanned. As a result of the scan, the user's clients, and/or projects, are identified and a user client list, and/or user project list, is generated. In addition, one or more related files, and/or documents, are identified, virtually grouped, and/or virtually displayed, based on the virtual file listing display parameters and then displayed via one or more virtual file listing displays associated with the file management system.
