Provided is a light-emitting device in which a light-emitting region is increased in size without decreasing the yield. This light-emitting device includes a central light-emitting unit, and a plurality of peripheral light-emitting units arranged to fill a periphery of the central light-emitting unit, wherein each of the central light-emitting unit and the peripheral light-emitting units includes a substrate and light-emitting elements mounted on the substrate, and an area of the light-emitting region of each of the peripheral light-emitting units is equal to or smaller than an area of the light-emitting region of the central light-emitting unit.

Light-emitting device

An object is to provide an LED module that eliminates the need for providing electrodes between each device and allows LEDs to be arrayed with high density. An LED module includes a substrate, a first frame member, a second frame member disposed outside the first frame member, a plurality of LEDs for producing white light disposed within the first frame member, a phosphor resin disposed within the first frame member, a plurality of LEDs for producing colored light disposed between the first frame member and the second frame member, and electrodes for applying a voltage to the plurality of LEDs for producing the white light, wherein a metal wire to connect the plurality of LEDs for producing the colored light to one another is disposed so as to straddle a part of each of the electrodes.

LED module

A light-emitting device includes a mounting area that includes a first end and a second end opposite to the first end, a first electrode group disposed adjacent to the first end of the mounting area, a second electrode group disposed adjacent to the second end of the mounting area, a plurality of files each in that a plurality of light-emitting elements are arranged in the mounting area to extend from a vicinity of the first end of the light-emitting area to a vicinity of the second end of the mounting area and electrically connected in series with each other of the light-emitting elements in each file. Light-emitting elements included in two or more files can be a light-emitting block to be lighted together through electrodes of the first electrode group and the second electrode group.

In a first aspect of the present invention, a lighting device includes a substrate that includes a pair of electrodes as a first electrode and a second electrode, groups each including a same number of light-emitting elements that are electrically connected to one another in series in each group and that are arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode, a first light-transmitting member including a first phosphor and covering at least one light-emitting element and a second light-transmitting member including a second phosphor and covering at least one light-emitting element that is uncovered by the first light-transmitting member, the first phosphor in the first light-transmitting member and the second phosphor in the second light-transmitting member being configured to be excited to emit light with emission spectrum different from each other, and the first light-transmitting member being enclosed by the second light-transmitting member.
