In a V-ribbed belt provided with a compressed rubber layer having V-ribbed portions extending parallel to one another in a belt longitudinal direction, and having a friction transmission surface at least a portion of which is capable of coming into contact with a V-ribbed groove portion of a pulley, the friction transmission surface of the compressed rubber layer is formed from a rubber composition vulcanizate including a rubber component and a sound generation resistance improving agent. A difference between a radius of curvature of a rib distal end portion of the pulley and a radius of curvature of a rib bottom portion of the belt is adjusted to be −0.08-0.08 mm. The radius of curvature of the rib bottom portion may be approximately 0.1-0.5 mm. The radius of curvature difference may be −0.05-0.05 mm. The pulley may include a pulley having an outer diameter at most equal to 65 mm.

V-ribbed belt and application thereof

The present invention relates to a V-ribbed belt that has a medium elongation of 0.8% or more when the load of 4 cN/dtex is applied, and that contains a twisted cord in which a high-elongation aramid fiber having a tensile modulus of 50-100 GPa and a low-modulus fiber having a lower tensile modulus than the high-elongation aramid fiber are blended and twisted.

V-ribbed belt and method for manufacturing same

A V-ribbed belt has a plurality of V-rib portions extending along a longitudinal direction of the belt and in parallel with one another. The V-ribbed belt includes a compression rubber layer including a frictional power transmission face at least a part of which is configured to come in contact with a V-rib groove portion of pulleys. The frictional power transmission face of the compression rubber layer is formed from a vulcanizate of a rubber composition containing a rubber component and a noise suppression improver. A V-rib angle of the V-rib portions is larger than a V-rib groove angle of the pulleys by 5&#xb0; to 9&#xb0;.

V-ribbed belt and use thereof

A frictional power transmission belt includes a tension layer forming a belt back surface, a compression rubber layer to be in contact with a pulley and frictionally engaged with the pulley, and a tension member embedded between the tension layer and the compression rubber layer along a belt length direction. The compression rubber layer has a surface to be in contact with the pulley. At least a part of the surface is coated with a fiber layer via a fiber/resin mixture layer. The fiber/resin mixture layer contains a resin component and heat-resistant fibers having a softening point or a melting point higher than a vulcanization temperature of a rubber forming the compression rubber layer. The fiber layer contains hydrophilic heat-resistant fibers having a softening point or a melting point higher than the vulcanization temperature and does not contain a resin component.

Friction transmission belt and method for producing same

A transfer belt for use on an electrostatographic duplicator. The belt has a body defining an image transfer surface. The body is made up of a rubber composition including a combination of epichlorohydrin-ethyleneoxide copolymer and hydrogenated nitrile rubber, to which a metallic salt of an unsaturated carboxylic acid and an organic peroxide are added.

Transfer belt for use in an electrostatographic duplicator

A conveying belt having a belt body with oppositely facing inner and outer surfaces and a width between laterally spaced sides. The belt body has a first layer, with the first layer being an elastomer with a first plurality of discrete fibers therein having lengths substantially less than the width of the body. The lengths of the fibers in a second plurality of fibers in the first plurality of fibers are randomly oriented and reside substantially in a single plane. The invention is also directed to a method of making the conveying belt.

Tear-resistant conveyor belt

A power transmission belt having a belt body with a length, an inside, an outside and laterally spaced side surfaces and reinforcing fabric on at least one of the inside and outside of the body. The reinforcing fabric is formed from first yarns including a mixture of polymethaphenylene isophthalamide fibers and polyethylene terephthalate fibers.
