Embodiments related to methods and wearable medical detecting systems for detecting disease states and/or treatment states of a subject are described. In one embodiment, a wearable structure may include one or more radiation detectors use to detect a time varying radiation signal emitted from a labeled compound within a body portion of interest. The radiation signal may be analyzed to determine one or more signal characteristics that may be compared to one or more predetermined standard characteristics associated with known disease and/or treatment states to determine a current disease and/or treatment state of a subject.

Medical diagnostic and treatment systems and their methods of use

The present disclosure provides touch communication devices that can convey touch information to a human user and/or receive touch information from the human user. As one example, a touch communication device can include a plurality of tactile units. The touch communication device can individually control each of the tactile units to apply a respective pressure to a surface adjacent to such tactile unit. For example, the touch communication device can control the plurality of tactile units to convey a touch communication to a human user that has the touch communication device adjacent to a portion of his body. As another example, the touch communication device is configured to determine a counter-pressure applied to each tactile unit by the surface adjacent to such tactile unit. The touch communication device can generate information descriptive of a touch communication performed by the human user on the touch communication device.

Various embodiments of medical detector systems as well as their methods of operation are disclosed. In one embodiment, one or more detectors are coupled to wearable structures for detecting at least a first tracer within a body portion. In another embodiment, one or more detectors are coupled to a wearable structure, where the detector corresponds to a CMOS chip that directly detects a first radioactive tracer.

A bistable electro-optic display has a plurality of pixels, each of which is capable of displaying at least three gray levels. The display is driven by a method comprising: storing a look-up table containing data representing the impulses necessary to convert an initial gray level to a final gray level; storing data representing at least an initial state of each pixel of the display; receiving an input signal representing a desired final state of at least one pixel of the display; and generating an output signal representing the impulse necessary to convert the initial state of said one pixel to the desired final state thereof, as determined from said look-up table. The invention also provides a method for reducing the remnant voltage of an electro-optic display.

Examples herein include modules and connections for modules to couple to a computing device. An example module includes a housing comprising an end to couple to a computing device, multiple capacitive pads that each include data contacts to enable data transfer, a power contact pad to provide or receive power, and a ground contact pad to couple to ground. The ground contact pad is larger in size than the power contact pad, and the ground contact pad is positioned closer than the power contact pad to the end of the housing configured to couple to the computing device.

Systems and methods for thermal management of a mobile electronic device. During operation of a modular mobile electronic device that is coupled to one or more modules via respective module interfaces of the electronic device, a thermal controller of the electronic device is used to update at least one system thermal goal based on a change for a module thermal model for at least one module coupled to the electronic device. A determination is made as to whether the updated at least one system thermal goal is satisfied based on thermal data provided by a plurality of thermal sensors arranged at locations associated with the electronic device. Responsive to a determination that the updated at least one system thermal goal is not satisfied, the thermal controller controls heat transfer to satisfy the updated at least one thermal goal.

Systems and methods for thermal management of a chassis-coupled modular mobile electronic device

A system for enabling a chassis-coupled modular mobile electronic device includes a thermally conductive chassis, a set of module couplers that couple modules of the modular mobile electronic device to the chassis (both thermally and mechanically), a module communication network configured to enable data transfer between the modules, and a module power network configured to enable power transfer between the modules when the modules are coupled to the chassis.

A front plane laminate useful in the manufacture of electro-optic displays comprises, in order, a light-transmissive electrically-conductive layer, a layer of an electro-optic medium in electrical contact with the electrically-conductive layer, an adhesive layer and a release sheet. This front plane laminate can be prepared as a continuous web, cut to size, the release sheet removed and the laminate laminated to a backplane to form a display. Methods for providing conductive vias through the electro-optic medium and for testing the front plane laminate are also described.
