A mobile terminal comprises a body including a first frame and a second frame slidably coupled to a rear surface of the first frame in a first direction or a second direction; a flexible display unit including a front portion located on a front surface of the body, a rear portion located on a rear surface of the body, and a side portion connecting the front portion with the rear portion and surrounding one side of the body; a plurality of reinforcing ribs protruded from a rear surface of the first frame and extended in the first direction; and a plurality of supports protruded from a front surface of the second frame and located between the respective reinforcing ribs. The mobile terminal may enhance usability and portability by varying its size.

Mobile terminal including flexible display

A flexible display device is disclosed. The flexible display device includes a first body, a second body, a roller, and a flexible display. The flexible display includes a first region forming a plane surface and a second region of which a portion forms a curved surface around the roller. A plurality of engagement protrusions are formed on an outer circumferential surface of the roller, and a plurality of support bars are coupled to an inner surface of the second region. The engagement protrusions engage the support bars. When the second body moves relative to the first body, the roller rotates with the engagement protrusions engaging the support bars, and the second region is uniformly deformed and moves.

The mobile terminal includes a housing having an internal space that is opened toward a front, and a display unit coupled to the housing and positioned in front of the internal space. The display unit includes a cover glass, a glass support adjacent to a side of the cover glass and disposed on a rear surface of the cover glass, wherein at least a portion of the glass support is positioned in the internal space and fixed to the cover glass, a frame including a frame body positioned in a rear of the cover glass, a first frame extension bent from the frame body to a rear of the frame body, and a second frame extension bent from the first frame extension, positioned between the first frame extension and the glass support, and coupled to the glass support, and a flexible display placed on the frame and disposed between the frame and the cover glass, wherein an edge area of the flexible display adjacent to the second frame extension is disposed between the glass support and the first frame extension.
