Disclosed herein is a coil component that includes: a drum-shaped core including a first flange part, a second flange part, and a winding core part positioned between the first and second flange parts; a plurality of first terminal electrodes provided on the first flange part; a plurality of second terminal electrodes provided on the second flange part; and a plurality of wires wound around the winding core part, each of the plurality of wires having a first end connected to an associated one of the first terminal electrodes, and having a second end connected to an associated one of the second terminal electrodes. Each of the first and second flange parts has a tapered groove whose side surfaces are inclined. The plurality of wires are accommodated in the tapered grooves.

Coil component

A coil device includes a winding core, a flange, and a terminal fitting. The winding core is wound by a wire. The flange is formed at an end of the winding core in its axial direction. The terminal fitting is attached to the flange. The terminal fitting includes an engagement part engaged with a circumferential wall part of the flange.

Coil device

Disclosed herein is a coil component that includes: a drum-shaped core including a flange part and a winding core part; a terminal fitting fixed to the flange part; and a wire wound around the winding core part and having an end portion connected to the terminal fitting. The flange part has an outer surface positioned on a side opposite to the winding core part. The terminal fitting has a positioning part for positioning the wire and a weld bead formed as a result of welding between the terminal fitting and the end portion of the wire. The positioning part and weld bead are both positioned on the outer surface of the flange part. The weld bead has a protruding part that does not overlap the flange part.

Coil component and its manufacturing method

Disclosed herein is a coil component that includes: a drum-shaped core including first and second flange parts and a winding core part; first terminal electrodes provided on the first flange part; second terminal electrodes provided on the second flange part; a plurality of wires wound around the winding core part, each of the plurality of wires having a first end connected to an associated one of the first terminal electrodes, and having a second end connected to an associated one of the second terminal electrodes; and a plate-like core fixed to the first and second flange parts. Each of the first and second flange parts has a first groove formed in a surface facing the plate-like core. The plurality of wires are positioned in parallel to each other in each of the first grooves formed in the first and second flange parts.

Core of coil component

A coil device includes a winding core, a wire, and a terminal fitting. The winding core is made of a magnetic material and includes a flange. The wire is wound around the winding core. The terminal fitting is attached to a part of an outer surface of the flange. The terminal fitting includes a contact part and a protrusion plate part. The contact part is contacted with the outer surface of the flange. The protrusion plate part is formed integrally with the contact part and protrudes away from the flange. The protrusion plate part includes a wire connection surface and a main mounting surface. A lead end of the wire is connected to the wire connection surface. The main mounting surface is located opposite to the wire connection surface and is connectable to an external circuit.

A coil device includes a core and a coil portion. The core includes a winding core part and a flange part disposed at one end of the winding core part in an axial direction thereof. The coil portion is formed by winding a first wire and a second wire around the winding core part. The flange part includes first and second grooves passed by a leading part of the first wire or the second wire. The first groove extends toward an outside of the flange part. The second groove extends toward the outside of the flange part at an angle differing from that of the first groove.
