Examples disclosed herein relate to receiving an authentication credential from a user, generating a security key associated with a physical document selected for an image capture operation, receiving a request for a captured image file of the physical document, and providing the captured image file of the physical document upon determining that the request comprises the security key.

Document security keys

An imaging device comprises a scanning unit to create a scanned image of a document placed in the scanning unit. The imaging device comprises a remote scan management engine to create a remote scan request indicator in response to a remote access request received from a client device connected to the imaging device for remotely accessing the scanned image. The remote scan request indicator indicative of an authorization status of the remote access request. The authorization status being at least one of authorized, refused, and pending for authorization. The imaging device comprises a print engine to print a document copy having the scanned image and a remote scan request indicator. The remote scan request indicator is to allow an owner of the document to access the remote access authorization indicator to update the authorization status, to secure authorized access of the scanned image.

Securing authorized access of a scanned image

Examples dis closed herein relate to receiving a first request to begin a first operation on a physical document, receiving a second request to begin a second operation, determining whether the first operation has completed, and in response to determining that the first operation has not completed, delay performance of the second operation.

Document operation performance

Approaches for reinstating a print operation are described. In one example, a random-access code corresponding to print operation interrupted from completing, by a print intervention event, is obtained. Further, a reinstated print operation is generated based on the intervened print operation. Thereafter, the reinstated print operation is securely maintained, wherein the reinstated print operation is accessible upon providing the random-access code.

Examples disclosed herein relate to receiving a request for a file via a network, determining whether the request for the file is associated with an authorized user for the file, in response to determining that the request for the file is associated with the authorized user for the file, determining whether the request for the file complies with a security policy associated with the network, and in response to determining that the request for the file complies with the security policy associated with the network, providing access to the file to the authorized user.
