A cognitive hive architecture for determining and managing a hive health index of a hive. The cognitive hive architecture is executable by a processor in communication with a computing device or a computing environment. The cognitive hive architecture includes sensors embedded within the hive. The cognitive hive architecture acquires data from the sensors, which are monitoring real-time conditions of the hive. The data being representative of the real-time conditions. The cognitive hive architecture tags the data to physical identifications and positional identifications to produce tagged data. The cognitive hive architecture associates the tagged data to physical profiles and positional profiles and generates the hive health index based on the physical profiles and the positional profiles.

Cognitive hive architecture

Apparatus, systems and methods for managing and aggregating cached data of aggregated electronic devices for sharing functionality to fulfill requested tasks, while monitoring and controlling battery energy levels in the electronic devices to ensure sufficient battery power is available, individually or collectively, to fulfill a requested task. The electronic devices are positioned in proximity to a computing device for sharing cached hierarchies of each device as well as hierarchies of the aggregated devices. The electronic devices are provided in proximity to a charge distribution unit (CDU) for determining if each electronic device has enough battery power to complete all, or a portion, of a requested task. If any device needs charging, the CDU allocates and distributes battery power from one or more other device batteries and/or power outlet. The charging power is then transferred to the electronic device in need of charging to fulfill the requested task.

Reconfigurable caching and backup for devices

Embodiments include a computer-implemented method, system, and computer program product for supplementing sub-optimal environmental conditions for plant growth, the embodiments include receiving plant data for a plant, and extracting optimal growth condition data from a database based at least in part on the plant. Embodiments also include obtaining sensor data from sensors monitoring current growth conditions of the plant and comparing the current growth conditions of the plant to the optimal growth condition data from the database to estimate a current cytoplasmic streaming rate. Embodiments include responsive to the comparison, calculating, by the calculation engine, a sound wave frequency to stimulate cytoplasmic streaming in the plant, transmitting the sound wave frequency to a speaker, and providing the sound wave frequency to the plant.

The computing device may determine whether the user location is located beyond the first location within the index. The computing device may display the first relationship to the user based on the determination that the user location is beyond the first location.

Power consumption of each power phase of a three-phase power is monitored to generate a derived power utilization over a selected time period. The derived power utilization over the selected time period is used to load balance an overloaded power phase.

Power phase energy level monitoring and management in a data center

Apparatus, systems and methods for managing and distributing electronic device battery power charge to electronic devices having batteries in need of charging. The electronic devices are positioned in proximity to a charge distribution unit (CDU) and a controller, which receive battery signal data including battery power level data transmitted from the electronic devices. Using the battery power level data the controller analyzes the battery signal data to determine an allocated amount of battery power charge required for charging each device battery to a desired battery charge. The CDU receives these allocated amounts and initiates transfer thereof from a power source in communication with the invention. Allocated amount(s) of battery power charge are transferred from the power source by sharing power source charging power amongst the electronic device batteries to ensure each electronic device has available battery power at a time when needed.

Portable device control and management

An energy management system for a data center network may include a central computer to establish an energy use policy for the computer data center network. The system may also include computer nodes in the computer data center network to receive a packet which is a query that obtains energy information from the nodes and/or a transmission reservation that provides instructions for the energy use policy to be implemented at the computer nodes. The computer nodes may reallocate data traffic on the computer data center network based on the energy use policy to improve energy consumption of the computer data center network.

Embodiments relate to an emergency wireless link in a data center comprising a plurality of servers. An aspect includes an emergency wireless link system in a data center comprising a plurality of servers. The emergency wireless link system includes an input interface to receive an input from a sensor coupled to one of the plurality of servers or to an auxiliary system among a plurality of auxiliary systems. The plurality of auxiliary systems includes a power supply system. The system also includes a processor to compare the input with a plurality of conditions, declare an emergency based on the input matching one of the plurality of conditions, and output one or more messages corresponding with the one of the plurality of conditions based on declaring the emergency. The system further includes a transmitter to wirelessly transmit the one or more messages output by the processor.

To mitigate collisions in a physical space during gaming, a set of physical objects and a user situated in the 3D space are mapped to determine a spacing between an object in the set of physical objects and the user, where the user moves in the 3D space to cause a motion in a virtual environment of a game. A prediction is computed that the user will make a motion in the 3D space during the gaming. For the motion in the 3D space, a motion trajectory of the user is computed using a measurement parameter corresponding to the user stored in a user profile. A detection is made that the motion trajectory of the user violates a spacing threshold between the user and the object, and the user is alerted about a risk of collision between the user and the object in the 3D space.

Mitigating collisions in a physical space during gaming

Embodiments relate to a system and method of identifying a cable terminal plug and port on a computer system. An aspect includes a method having a step of positioning a cable plug adjacent to a computer port, the cable plug having a passive transponder. An RF signal is transmitted to the passive transponder. The passive transponder is activated with the RF signal. An identification signal is transmitted based on receiving the RF signal. It is determined that identification signal matches an identification value of the computer port.
