A head-mounted device is provided that includes displays configured to display an image and to simultaneously display a magnifying window that presents a magnified portion of the image. The magnifying window lies in a magnification plane that is fixed relative to a user's head. One or more processors in the head-mounted device can be used to perform a first ray cast operation to identify an input point where a detected user input intersects the magnifying window, to obtain a remapped point from the input point, to compute a directional vector based on the remapped point and a reference point associated with the user's head, to obtain a shifted point by shifting the remapped point from the magnification plane to another plane parallel to the magnification plane, and to perform a second ray cast operation using the shifted point and the directional vector.

A spectro-colorimeter system for imaging pipeline is provided, the system including a camera system; a spectrometer system; and a controller coupling the camera system and the spectrometer system. In some embodiments the camera system is configured to provide a color image with the first portion of the incident light. Also, in some embodiments the spectrometer system is configured to provide a tristimulus signal from the second portion of the incident light. Furthermore, in some embodiments the controller is configured to correct the color image from the camera system using the tristimulus signal from the spectrometer. An imaging pipeline method for using a system as above is also provided. Further, a method for color selection in an imaging pipeline calibration is provided.

Spectrocolorimeter imaging system

A test system may include test stations for testing a device under test. The test stations may each include test equipment that may be connected to a device under test using a test cable. The test cable may include a status indicator to indicate when tests have been passed or have failed. A first connector at one end of the test cable may be coupled to the test equipment. A second connector at an opposing end of the test cable may be coupled to the device under test. Communications through the first connector may use a first communications protocol. Communications through a first set of contacts in the second connector may use the first communications protocol. Communications through a second set of contacts in the second connector may use a second communications protocol.

Test systems with cables that support multiple communications buses

A method is provided for calibrating a display having color channels. Each color channel is capable of adjusting settings for pixel values at gray level entries. The method includes selecting a gray level entry for calibration. The method also includes providing a target white point in chromaticity coordinates (x, y) and a target brightness at the selected gray level entry to the display. The method further includes adjusting the setting for the pixel values for the color channels at the selected gray level entry such that the display achieves the target white point and the target brightness at an adjusted pixel value.

Methods for display uniform gray tracking and gamma calibration

A calibration system may be provided for calibrating displays in electronic devices during manufacturing. The calibration system may include calibration computing equipment and a test chamber having a light sensor. The calibration computing equipment may be configured to operate the light sensor and the display to gather display intensity performance data for obtaining a display gamma model. The display intensity performance data may be gathered using a range of display control settings that will be used in performing color calibration operations for the display. The calibration computing equipment may be configured to operate the light sensor and the display to gather display color performance data for determining a display white point calibration. Display white point calibration data may be provided to the electronic device and stored in volatile or non-volatile memory in the device or may be permanently stored in circuitry associated with the display.
