A method and an arrangement in connection with vaporizing an anaesthetic, in which an anaesthetic, vaporized in a vaporizer is mixed with fresh gas and delivered to be inhaled by a patient. In order to achieve a reliable operation, the prevailing ambient air pressure is measured, the measured air pressure is compared with a reference pressure and when the prevailing ambient air pressure deviates from the reference pressure, the anaesthetic agent concentration of the fresh gas/anaesthetic mixture to be passed to the patient is adjusted in relation to the variation in the ambient external air pressure.

Method and arrangement for vaporizing an anaesthetic

An arrangement in connection with an anaesthetic liquid container, comprising a connector with the help of which an anaesthetic liquid container and a transport or supply container of anaesthetic liquid can be connected to one another for guiding the anaesthetic liquid from the transport or supply container to the anaesthetic liquid container and for removing a volume of gas equivalent to the anaesthetic liquid from the anaesthetic liquid container to the transport or supply container. In order to provide a reliable and tight connection, the connector comprises a conduit arrangement which, when connecting the anaesthetic liquid container and the transport or supply container to one another, is adapted to open first a flow connection exclusively to gas.

Arrangement in connection with an anaesthetic liquid container

An arrangement in connection with an anaesthetic vaporizer, said arrangement comprising a filling head to be connected to a liquid container of the anaesthetic vaporizer, said filling head being provided with a connection point for an anaesthetic supply container or the like. The filling head comprises a filling conduit adapted to form a flow connection between the connection point for an anaesthetic supply container or the like and the liquid container of the anaesthetic vaporizer for filling the liquid container with an anaesthetic, and a discharge conduit adapted to form a passage through which the anaesthetic in the liquid container of the anaesthetic vaporizer can be discharged to an anaesthetic supply container or the like. To prevent erroneous filling, the discharge conduit is adapted to form a flow connection between the liquid container and the connection point provided in the filling head for an anaesthetic supply container or the like, and the discharge conduit is provided with a separate cut-off device arranged to close the flow connection formed by the discharge conduit.

Arrangement for filling and emptying an anaesthetic vaporizer

A method and an arrangement for identifying liquid levels, in which method a capacitor is arranged into liquid in a container, between plates of which capacitor, liquid will enter in such a manner that the liquid-filled portion of the space between the plates changes with liquid levels and determines the capacitance of the capacitor. In the invention, a signal obtained from the capacitor is employed, the signal being dependent on the liquid level in the container. A coil is connected to the capacitor forming an electrical circuit with the capacitor, whereby the liquid level, while determining the capacitance of the capacitor, at the same time determines the resonance frequency of the electrical circuit. The resonance frequency is measured from outside the container inductively without a lead-through to the container.

Method and arrangement for measuring liquid level

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement in connection with vaporizing an anaesthetic. The invention comprises a vaporizing chamber for an anaesthetic liquid to be vaporized and means for mixing vaporized anaesthetic with fresh gas and delivering the mixture to be inhaled by a patient. To stabilize the temperature of the anaesthetic liquid in the vaporizing situation, an air flow enhancing the transfer of heat energy between the anaesthetic liquid within the vaporizing chamber and air outside the vaporizing chamber is applied to at least one exterior surface of the vaporizing chamber in forced circulation.
