A process for dimerizing olefins in the presence of a catalyst, a hydrocarbon feedstock containing Cto Cisoolefins is subjected to dimerization. The process comprises the steps of contacting the Cto Cisoolefins at conditions conducive to dimerization with a catalytic material comprising an acidic mesoporous molecular sieve, the catalytic material being thermally stable at a temperature of at least 900&#xb0; C., and carrying out the contacting step essentially in the absence of butadiene and water in the feedstock. By means of the invention, the dimerization process can be operated over extended periods of time with prolonged maintenance intervals.

Process for dimerizing olefins

The present invention relates to a method for catalytic deoxygenation of process fluids of olefin dimerization processes. According to the invention at least one process fluid containing oxygenates is brought into contact with a deoxygenation catalyst at, at least one location in a column or connected to a column. The present invention relates also to a process for dimerization of olefins, wherein at least part of olefin feed is dimerized in at least one dimerization reaction zone to produce a first product stream comprising oxygenates, and separating in a distillation zone, comprising one or more distillation columns, the first product stream into a second product stream and a third product stream and at, at least one location of the distillation column or a vessel connected to the distillation column is located a deoxygenation catalyst for decomposing oxygenates.

Method for catalytic deoxygenation of process fluids of olefin dimerization process

The present invention relates to a process for the hydrogenation of olefins. The process comprises hydrogenation of a feed stock comprising more than 90 wt-% of olefins, carried out in a hydrogenation reactor comprising at least two reaction stages, wherein the feed stock is hydrogenated in the first reaction stage equipped with a cooling circuit and comprising a first and an optional second catalyst bed, and the effluent from the first reaction stage is hydrogenated in the final reaction stage comprising one or more catalyst beds and optionally equipped with a cooling circuit, the process is operated in trickling or pulse flow mode in a three phase reactor with a fixed catalyst bed and at least one catalyst of same or different type is used in each stage, the catalyst having different particle size and/or optionally different shape in at least two stages.

Process for the hydrogenation of olefins

Process for producing gasoline components. The process comprises feeding a fresh olefinic hydrocarbon feedstock to a reaction zone, in which its structure is first isomerized. The isomerized hydrocarbon is drawn out of the first reaction zone and conducted to a second reaction zone, where the isomerized hydrocarbon is dimerized. The dimerized reaction product is drawn out of the second reaction zone and separated from the flow in a separation zone. Because there are more isoolefins present in the dimerization unit feed, more isoolefin dimers useful as fuel components can be produced.

Process for producing gasoline components

A method for dimerizing isobutene, wherein, in dimerizing conditions, the isobutene is brought into contact with a porous cation exchange resin comprising a styrene polymer, which is cross-linked with divinyl benzene, and any sulphonic acid groups adhering to the polymer. The harmful deactivation of this catalyst, which is caused by the accumulation of the oligomers and polymers of isobutene and other C-olefins in the cation exchange resin catalyst, is essentially decreased by selecting the cation exchange resin from a group including cation exchange resins, the acid,capacity of which is 4.7 equivalents/kg at a minimum, and the portion of divinyl benzene units of which is 5% by weight at a minimum and smaller than 20% by weight.

Fuel components and their selective manufacturing methods

The invention relates to a process for dimerizing lower, olefinic hydrocarbons. In particular, the present invention concerns a process for dimerizing C&#x2013;, Cand C-olefins with a medium pore zeolite under process conditions allowing selective dimerization According to the invention, fresh olefinic hydrocarbon feedstock is fed to a reaction system including at least one reaction zone and at least one separation zone. The olefinic hydrocarbon feedstock is contacted with an acid catalyst at conditions in which at least a part of the olefins dimerizes. The effluent from the reaction zone is conducted to the separation zone where dimerized reaction product is separated from said effluent.

Process for dimerizing light olefins

The invention relates to a method for dimerizing isobutene, wherein, in dimerizing conditions, the isobutene is brought into contact with a porous cation exchange resin comprising a styrene polymer, which is cross-linked with divinyl benzene, and any sulphonic acid groups adhering to the polymer.
