An apparatus for enabling audio transition between at least two acoustic environments, the apparatus including circuitry configured to: obtain information of at least a first acoustic environment associated with an audio scene, wherein the audio scene includes the first acoustic environment and a second acoustic environment; obtain a first distance threshold that at least partially defines an audio transition region that enables adaptive rendering between the first and second acoustic environments depending on a listening position within the audio scene; determine the listening position to adjust an environment characteristic of at least one of the first and second acoustic environments; and adjust the environment characteristic of at least one of the first and second acoustic environments depending on the listening position, wherein the environment characteristic is adaptively controlled within the audio scene.

Method and apparatus for audio transition between acoustic environments

An apparatus including circuitry configured to: obtain two or more audio signal sets, wherein each audio signal set is associated with a position; obtain at least one parameter value for at least two of the audio signal sets; obtain the positions associated with the at least two of the audio signal sets; obtain a listener position; obtain source position information; obtain values related to source energies associated with the source position information; generate at least one audio signal based on at least one audio signal from at least one of the audio signal sets based on the positions associated with the at least two of the audio signal sets and the listener position; generate at least one modified parameter value and a residual value; and process the at least one audio signal to generate a spatial audio output.

Examples of the disclosure relate to apparatus, methods and computer programs for enabling audio content rendering. An example apparatus comprising means for receiving a bitstream which comprises audio content; means for receiving dynamic content independent from the bitstream; means for receiving at least one instruction for the dynamic content from at least one of: the received bitstream or the received dynamic content; and means for rendering audio with a renderer based upon the audio content of the bitstream, the received dynamic content, and the at least one instruction. In a further embodiment, the apparatus further comprising means for determining position of audio elements in the audio scene and audio elements in the dynamic content. When the audio elements in the audio scene and the audio elements in the dynamic content are in a same acoustic environment, the apparatus comprising means for rendering audio with the renderer based upon the audio content of the bitstream without adapting the audio based upon the received dynamic content. When the audio elements in the audio scene and the audio elements in the dynamic content are not in the same acoustic environment, the apparatus comprising means for rendering the audio with the renderer based upon both the audio content of the bitstream and the received dynamic content. In an embodiment, the apparatus further comprising means for determining an anchor object in an audio scene; means for determining at least one instruction for dynamic content relative to the anchor object; and means for transmitting the audio scene in a bitstream, where the bitstream comprises the at least one instruction.

The apparatus comprises means for: receiving one or more audio input signals and applying a multi-stage decimation process to the one or more audio input signals wherein the multi-stage decimation process comprises at least a first branch and a second branch.
