This document discloses a solution for synchronizing two apparatuses of the same or different wireless network. A synchronization control apparatus may receive measurement reports from a first apparatus and a second apparatus, wherein at least one of the measurement reports comprises at least one information element indicating an offset between clocks of the first apparatus and the second apparatus. The synchronization control apparatus may synchronize the first apparatus and the second apparatus with each other on the basis of the measurement reports.

Synchronization between devices of same or different wireless network

This document presents a location tracking system comprising a plurality of location tracking nodes disposed to cover an area where the location tracking is to be carried out, at least one mobile tag configured to communicate with at least one of said plurality of location tracking nodes at a time for location tracking purposes, and a control apparatus configured to control operational parameters of the plurality of location tracking nodes and the at least one mobile tag. The control apparatus and the plurality of location tracking nodes are configured to carry out an automatic calibration phase during operation of the location tracking system the location tracking nodes transmit and receive test signals between the neighboring nodes, and report measurement results to the control apparatus. The control apparatus then optimizes the operation parameters of the location tracking system on the basis of received measurement reports.

Adaptive location tracking system

There is provided a method and a program and an apparatus (e.g., a user equipment) that determines a data channel gain factor and a control channel gain factor; determines that total transmit power would exceed a maximum allowed value after applying the data and control channel gain factors; reduces the data channel gain factor so that the total transmit power does not exceed the maximum allowed value; and uses the control channel gain factor that is applied before the data channel factor is reduced when a boost mode is configured for the control channel (e.g., if TFCI&#x3e;E-TFCI). There may a plurality k of data channels E-DPDCHand k data channel gain factors &#x3b2;which are reduced by scaling each of them equally. When the boost mode is not configured the control channel gain factor which is used is received in signaling from an access node.
