A video system and method in which a remote viewer can place a marker in a video stream to indicate an object of interest to a local viewer. Transmission delays are accounted for by using optical flow to track the movement of the object of interest so that the marker can be placed into the video stream at an updated location on the display of the local viewer.

Marking objects of interest in a streaming video

A wearable device and corresponding methods and computer-readable media are disclosed, where the method comprises: receiving a first audio signal from an audio communication device; providing first audio based on the first audio signal; capturing second audio, wherein the second audio represents a voice of a wearer of the wearable device; generating a second audio signal, wherein the second audio signal represents the second audio; transmitting the second audio signal to the audio communication device; capturing video; providing a video signal, wherein the video signal represents the video; capturing third audio, wherein the third audio represents ambient sound; generating a third audio signal, wherein the third audio signal represents the third audio; and synchronously encoding, into a single data stream, the first audio signal, the second audio signal, the third audio signal, and the video signal.

Combining audio and video streams for a video headset

Methods and apparatuses for video headsets are described. In one example, both a Bluetooth link and a Wi-Fi link are established between a video headset and a computing device, the Bluetooth link and the Wi-Fi link in operation concurrently. A user speech is received at a video headset microphone during a voice call, and a far end call participant speech is output at a video headset speaker during the voice call. A video is captured with a video headset video camera during the voice call. The user speech is transmitted over the Bluetooth link from the video headset to the computing device and the video is transmitted over the Wi-Fi link from the video headset to the computing device.

Methods and apparatuses for entry of character data are disclosed. In one example, a user action is received at a headset input user interface. The user action is correlated to a character data previously stored. The character data is transmitted to a host device, the character data configured to be automatically entered in one or more data fields.

Sound pressure level limiter with anti-startle feature for audio systems are disclosed. The anti-startle feature may be implemented with a delta incident detector for detecting delta acoustic incidents that exceed a predetermined acoustic startle boundary, a delta limiter for determining an anti-startle gain, and an amplifier to apply the anti-startle gain to the input signal. The delta incident detector may detect delta incidents based on an estimated true SPL delivered by a transducer to a predetermined datum point. The estimated true SPL may be determined by based on a measured receiving frequency response of the transducer. An SPL limiter may also determine an SPL gain in response to detecting an SPL acoustic incident that exceeds a predetermined SPL threshold, and an amplifier may apply the SPL gain to the input signal to reduce it below the threshold.

Systems and methods for logging acoustic incidents. An exemplary system includes a transducer configured to receive an electrical signal from an electrical signal source and produce a corresponding acoustic signal, a recording system operable to record the electrical signal from the electrical signal source, and an incident estimation and control system coupled to the recording system to estimate an acoustic incident and to instruct the recording system to record the electrical signal that is producing the acoustic incident. The system can replay the recorded electrical signal through the same transducer that was in use at the time of the acoustic incident, to exactly reproduce the sound that occurred.
