A device for stabilizing the position of an infant while sleeping features a shell assembly including a base panel having two longitudinal sides and two lateral sides, an end wall extending generally upwardly from one of the lateral sides, two side walls extending generally upwardly from the longitudinal sides, a shell cover comprising an outer surface and conforming generally to the shell assembly, and a removable positioner insert disposed atop the base panel and comprising left and right nacelles attached to an insert base and separated by a distance selected to accommodate the width of an infant placed between the nacelles, to inhibit lateral motion of the infant while sleeping.

Infant sleep positioner

A device for stabilizing the position of an infant while sleeping including a substantially rigid basin assembly having three sides and a base and defining an open end. A basin cover conforms generally to the basin and defines a sleep space, sized and configured for holding an infant, the cover includes a fabric outer surface and at least one of the sides of the basin assembly comprises a plurality of standoffs extending into the basin assembly and defining recesses therebetween. The cover can have an air-permeable section overlaying the recesses to enable pneumatic communication between the sleep space and the recesses.

A child safety barrier is disclosed, including a receptacle assembly rigidly mountable to a structural element on one side of a passageway, a gate comprising a latch housing, the gate being mountable to a structural element on an opposite side of the passageway and positionable to span across the passageway, a retractable plunger assembly disposed at least partially within the latch housing and extendable from the latch housing to engage the receptacle assembly and retain the gate in a closed position, and a knob exposed at a surface of the latch housing for manipulation by an operator, the knob being movable in a first sense to a first position and movable from the first position in a second sense to cause the plunger assembly to retract from the receptacle assembly to release the gate for opening.
