Switched power supply converter for broad range of input voltages

Switched power converter with hold-up time and harmonics reduction

Uninterrupted power supply system being connected to a power source through input terminals (,-,and,-,) and transforming the electric power received into a level of voltage and current appropriate for feeding a telecommunications equipment through output terminals (,-,and,-,). A recognising means (,) examines the electrical characteristics of the received power and, as a function of the results of the analysis, configures a determined conversion path between the input terminals (,-,and,-,) and the output terminals (,-,and,-,); to which purpose it generates a set of control signals (S,, S,, S,and S,) which, respectively, activate a set of switching means (,-,-,-,and,-,).

Uninterrupted power supply system

Universal switched power converter connected to a voltage source and, based on the level of the voltage received, this is applied to a first primary circuit comprising a first switching device (14-1) or to a second primary circuit comprising a second switching device (15-1). Control means (PWM) adapt the conducting period of the switching device connected to input terminals for regulating an output voltage and adapt the conducting period of the switching device not connected to the input terminals for demagnetising the core of a transformer (T) during the non-conducting period of the switching device connected to the input terminals.

Universal switched power converter with demagnetising

A power distribution system that provides electric power to an electrical device and to an energy storage device. The system includes a rectifier connected to an alternating current mains network to provide a rectified sinusoidal voltage via power leads connected to a charging device that provides DC voltage to the energy storage device. In addition, the electrical device(s) are connected to the power leads and include a plurality of converters, each one being connected to at least one load. Each converter is connected to the power leads in order to supply a DC voltage to its respective load.
