A jack module includes a chassis, a frame, and jacks. The jack module is configured to releasably hold any of a plurality of types of jacks. Each jack is configured to releasably mount to the frame. The frame is configured to couple to the chassis so that rear portions of the jacks extend rearwardly from the chassis. The jack module mounts to a rear of a patch panel frame by coupling the jack module to a faceplate mounted at a front of the patch panel frame.

A cap for an electrical connector comprises a housing and a first cutting member with a first cutting blade. The housing includes an aperture for receiving a cable therethrough. The housing comprises at least a first wire guiding for guiding a first wire of the cable between the aperture and a first recess in a first outside wall of the housing. The first cutting member is arranged in a first slot of the housing and crosses the first wire guiding between the aperture and the first recess. The first cutting member is provided for cutting the first wire.

A plug and jack adapted to fit together with the plug releasably secured in the jack by detent means, so that plug electrical contacts carried by the plug are in electrical connection with jack electrical contacts carried by the jack, wherein spring means are provided which act between the plug and the jack to limit or eliminate movement of the secured plug relative to the jack.

A cap () for a modular telecom connection jack assembly comprises a housing () including an aperture () to receive a cable () therethrough. A pair of jaws () is operably associated with the housing () and movable relative to each other between an open configuration (Po) and a closed configuration (Pc). The relative positions of the jaws () in the closed configuration (Pc) is determined by latch means operably associated with the jaws () to limit relative movement of the jaws (). The cap () further comprises biasing means operably associated with the jaws () to bias the jaws () from the open configuration (Po) towards the closed configuration (Pc). The jaws (), in use, are movable to the open configuration (Po) to permit insertion of a cable () through the aperture () in the housing () and, on release, are caused to move by the biasing means towards the closed configuration (Pc) to clamp the cable () therebetween. The cap () may be used in combination with a termination assembly () and/or a housing assembly ().
