Systems are provided for a medical imaging system. In one example, an electronic assembly configured to control a cathode of an X-ray tube of the medical imaging system comprises a plurality of boards comprising a first analog board, a first digital board, a second power board, and a third power board, and at least two Faraday cages nested within one another, the at least two Faraday cages comprising an inner Faraday cage surrounding the first digital board and an outer Faraday cage surrounding each of the plurality of boards and the inner Faraday cage.

Cathode supply assembly

Methods and systems are provided for controlling an electron beam generated by an X-ray tube assembly including a unipolar cathode with a long cable between driving electronics of the cathode and the X-ray tube. A voltage supplied to a gridding electrode of the cathode is controlled by a multi-stage switching unit including a first control circuit and a second control circuit. A bias voltage for switching the cathode on is generated by a high precision voltage source of the second control circuit, and a gridding voltage for switching the cathode off is generated by voltage sources of the first control circuit. A time taken to transition between the gridding voltage and the bias voltage is advantageously reduced by decreasing the supplied voltage to a common voltage (e.g., 0 V) in a first step, and then increasing the supplied voltage to the bias voltage or the gridding voltage in a second step.

Remote control of cathode width voltage

A system for melting, sintering, or heat treating a material is provided. The system includes a cathode, an anode, and a focus coil assembly having a quadrupole magnet. The quadrupole magnet includes four poles and a yoke. The four poles are spaced apart and surround a beam cavity. Each of the four poles includes a pole face proximate the beam cavity and an end opposite the pole face. The first and third poles are aligned along an x-axis and configured to have a first magnetic polarity at their respective pole faces and a second magnetic polarity opposite the first magnetic polarity at their respective ends. The second and fourth poles are aligned along a y-axis and configured to have the second magnetic polarity at their respective pole faces and the first magnetic polarity at their respective ends. The yoke surrounds the poles and is coupled to the poles.

Systems and methods for electron beam focusing in electron beam additive manufacturing

Methods and systems for releasing growth factors are disclosed. In certain embodiments, a blood sample is exposed to a sequence of one or more electric pulses to trigger release of a growth factor in the sample. In certain embodiments, the growth factor release is not accompanied by clotting within the blood sample.

Platelet activation and growth factor release using electric pulses

In accordance with the present disclosure, exposure of a sample to one or more electric pulses via capacitive coupling is described. In certain embodiments, the sample may be a biological sample to be treated or modified using the pulsed electric fields. In certain embodiments, the electric pulses may be delivered to a load using capacitive coupling. In other embodiments, the electric pulses may be bipolar pulses.

A system may be provided that may include an integrated motor drive configured to couple to a motor. The integrated motor drive may include a first converter that may be configured to electrically couple with a winding assembly of the motor. The first converter may include at least first conversion circuitry configured to form a first electrical excitation waveform and second conversion circuitry coupled in parallel to the second conversion circuitry and configured to form a second electrical excitation waveform. The first converter may also include a first transformer configured to form a first summation electrical excitation waveform from the first electrical excitation waveform and the second electrical excitation waveform that drives the motor.

Redundant electric motor drive

A switching system includes a transformer and a switching assembly for controlling conduction of current from a power source to a first load along a power cable. The switching assembly includes a switch cell conductively coupled to the power cable. The transformer has a primary winding and a secondary winding. The secondary winding is conductively coupled to the switch cell. The primary winding is conductively coupled to a switch controller via the power cable. The transformer is configured to receive an activation control signal from the switch controller at the primary winding via the power cable and convey the activation control signal to the switch cell via the secondary winding. The switch cell is configured to activate and conduct the current from the power source to the first load along the power cable responsive to receiving the activation control signal from the switch controller.

Switch systems for controlling conduction of multi-phase current

Disclosed herein are multi-cuvette cartridges, flow cells, and electrical pulse systems for treatment of large volumes of biological samples with pulsed electric fields. The multi-cuvette cartridges systems may include mechanical motors for automatic positioning and alignment between the cuvettes and the electrodes of the electrical pulse systems. The flow cell systems may include fluidic systems, such as pumps, nozzles and valves, which may operate in coordination with the electrical systems for efficient exposition of biological samples. Embodiments having flow cell systems that allow 'on-demand' production of activated sample are also disclosed.

System and method for electric pulse based activation of biological samples

Methods and systems for generating a tunable or customizable activated product composition are related. In certain embodiments, one or more of electric pulse parameters, flow rate, or sample container size are varied so as to generate the activated product composition. The activated product composition may be customized or optimized based for a particular patient or procedure.

Activated platelet composition with tunable growth factor level

A system for grid control of an electromagnetic ray tube is provided. The system includes a power source, a rectifier, and a grid conductor. The power source is disposed apart from the electromagnetic ray tube and operative to generate an AC current. The rectifier is integrated into the electromagnetic ray tube and electrically coupled to a grid electrode of the electromagnetic ray tube. The grid conductor electrically couples the power source to the rectifier. The rectifier is operative to convert the AC current to a DC current that powers the grid electrode.

System and method for grid control of an electromagnetic ray tube

A circuit assembly includes plural voltage control modules configured to be operably coupled in series to a connection and configured to control voltage delivered to an X-ray electrode. Each voltage module includes an on/off circuit portion, a balancing circuit portion, and a tuning circuit portion. The on/off circuit portion is configured to provide a voltage for activating or deactivating the X-ray electrode. The balancing circuit portion is coupled in parallel to the on/off circuit portion, and includes a capacitor and a resistor coupled in parallel. The tuning circuit portion is coupled in parallel to the balancing circuit portion and the on/off circuit portion, and is configured to adjust a voltage provided to the X-ray electrode.

Electronic control for high voltage systems

A gate drive circuit device includes positive and negative pulse circuit portions each including a pulse diode and a pulse assembly connected in parallel with each other. The pulse assemblies each include another pulse diode and a resistor-capacitor assembly connected in series. The resistor-capacitor assembly includes a pulse resistor and a pulse capacitor connected in parallel. Each pulse circuit portion is connected with a different switch. Each pulse circuit portion is a passive device that is configured to activate a different switch responsive to receiving one or more voltage pulses from a power supply.

Gate drive devices and switching systems

A switching system includes a switching assembly and a transformer. The switching assembly includes multiple sets of switch cells conductively coupled to different power conductors that extend between a power source and a load and conduct different phases of current. Each set of switch cells controls conduction of a different phase of current to the load. The transformer has a primary winding and multiple secondary windings that are conductively coupled to the sets of switch cells. Responsive to receiving an activation control signal from the transformer via the secondary windings, the sets of switch cells are configured to activate to conduct the multiple phases of current from the power source to the load along the power conductors.
