Carbon dioxide composite getter

A sensitive device is described including an edge of the sensitive device and a composite material sealing the edge of the sensitive device. The composite material includes a homogeneous dispersion of superficially functionalized nanozeolites in a polymerizable compound. The nanozeolites contain surface modifying organic groups belonging to the same chemical class of at least one functional group of the polymerizable compound.

Getter pumping system particularly useful for linear accelerators or more generally high-volume environments, wherein a plurality of getter cartridges () having a linear support () and a plurality of linear heaters () are connected in a high-density configuration to a wall () that has a surface area of at least 0.5 m.

A getter pump is described. The getter pump has a casing, whose shape is a solid of revolution with a revolution axis, and a plurality of getter cartridges mounted within the getter pump casing, each cartridge having a linear central support and spaced getter elements mounted on the linear central support. A getter cartridge orientation plane containing the linear central support and parallel to the revolution axis, and a getter cartridge positioning plane orthogonal to the revolution axis and intersecting the midpoint of a linear central support are defined. For each cartridge, the angle formed by the getter cartridge positioning plane with the linear control supports is equal to or less than 30&#xb0;.

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing thin-film photovoltaic panels by the use of a sealing means composed by a polymeric tri-layer comprising a composite getter system composed of a polymer with a low HO transmission, having dispersed in its inside a HO sorption material, and two outer polymeric layers with the composite getter system therebetween, as well as to a polymeric tri-layer for the manufacturing of photovoltaic panels.

A getter pump is described. The getter pump has a casing and a getter cartridge mounted within the casing. Each cartridge has a linear central support and spaced getter elements mounted on the linear central support. Each cartridge is positioned along a plane orthogonal to the revolution axis and intersecting the midpoint of a linear central support. The angle formed by each positioning plane with its respective linear central support is comprised between 35&#xb0; and 75&#xb0;.
