An animal detecting device includes circuitry configured to: obtain one or more images; perform image processing on the one or more images, wherein the image processing includes detecting the presence of an animal in one of the one or more images, produce, when the presence of an animal is detected, image representation data associated with the one or more images according to a result of the image processing; and send, in the event of a predetermined condition being met, the image representation data to another device over a communication link.

A method comprising the steps of: receiving an image from a dynamic vision sensor and an image from an image sensor, wherein the dynamic vision sensor and the image sensor capture at least an overlapping field of view; determining, from the image received from the dynamic vision sensor, an area of movement in the field of view of the image from the image sensor; applying a higher level of image compression to the areas of no movement compared with the area of movement in the image from the image sensor to produce a processed image; and outputting the processed image to a neural network.

Information to be displayed on a display is generated in such a way that a gateway processes a measured value (with a time stamp) transmitted from a power meter, an appliance monitor, a solar module, and a battery center through a wireless LAN. In the gateway, information relating to the consumed electric energy is synchronized with each other by the time stamp. Further, an integrated value of the consumed electric energy is calculated with respect to time. The information can be secured by obtaining the integrated value of data even if breakdown of devices and the like occurs due to power failure.

Control of supplying power to a storage device is performed based on carbon emission strength or a power rate. A battery centerthat constitutes a storage deviceperforms radio communication with a gatewayand is controlled by the gateway. The gatewaycollects a measured value of power consumed by electric appliances in a home and obtains the carbon emission strength in real time. A solar panelis provided and a battery of the storage deviceis charged with an output of the solar panel. The battery is also charged with direct current power obtained from power from outside. The power is stored in the storage devicebased on the carbon emission strength by charging control.

To solve problems arising when a power conditioner equivalent to that connected to a solar panel is connected to a power storage device. The converteris configured to have two output voltages. The first output voltage is a standby voltage. The second voltage is a voltage at which the inverterstarts power supply to outside.

Power control device

A device for providing feedback to a user of a string instrument is described. The device comprises receiving circuitry operable in use to communicate with at least one finger sensor capable of detecting the force of a finger on a string, a camera operable in use to capture an image and a display operable in use to display data, wherein the receiving circuitry, camera and display are connected to processing circuitry which is operable to: detect, from the receiving circuitry, the force of a user's finger on at least one string at a given time; detect, from the camera, the position of the user's finger on the at least one string at the given time; compare the detected force of the user's finger and the position of the user's finger on the at least one string at the given time with a predetermined value of force and position at the given time; and generate, on the basis of the said comparison, feedback to display on the display.
