Hearing device and method of speech synthesis in a hearing device is disclosed, the method comprising obtaining a pulse input signal based on an input signal; determining one or more pulse parameters including a first pulse parameter based on the pulse input signal; synthesizing a speech signal based on the first pulse parameter; processing the speech signal for provision of an electrical output signal; and converting the electrical output signal to an audio output signal.

Hearing device with speech resynthesis, and related method

The present disclosure relates to a method of performing bilateral dynamic range compression of first and second microphone signals generated by first and second hearing devices, respectively, of a binaural hearing system. The method comprises to pick-up sound pressure inside an ear canal of the user's left or right ear by a first microphone to generate a first microphone signal in response to incoming sound and pick-up sound pressure inside an ear canal of the user's opposite ear by a second microphone to generate a second microphone signal in response to the incoming sound.

Binaural hearing system comprising bilateral compression

The present disclosure relates to a method of performing bilateral dynamic range compression of first and second microphone signals generated by first and second hearing aids, respectively, of a binaural hearing aid system. The method comprises to pick-up sound pressure inside an ear canal of the user's left or right ear by a first microphone to generate a first microphone signal in response to incoming sound and pick-up sound pressure inside an ear canal of the user's opposite ear by a second microphone to generate a second microphone signal in response to the incoming sound.

A hearing device includes: a sound analyser configure to receive a sound signal and determine a contribution of at least one sound source associated with the sound signal; a difference estimator coupled to the sound analyser, and configured to estimate spatial cue information of the at least one sound source for storage in the hearing device; and a communication device configured to receive from a second hearing device information related to the at least one sound source; wherein the difference estimator is configured to update the stored spatial cue information of the at least one sound source based on the information received by the communication device.
