The method for locating a certain object is a method for locating the object by means of a detected locating signal. With this method, locating of precisely this object is checked in such a way that an object with at least a temporally variable reflective property is used, and an influence of this reflective property on the detected locating signal is checked. The locating system has a locating sensor for locating an object by means of a locating signal detected by a locating sensor, as well as an evaluating device which is configured to check an influence of a temporally variable reflective property of the object on the locating signal detected by the locating sensor.

Methods for locating and positioning, locating system, charging station, and charging system

A device and method is provided that establishes a charging connection and a communication connection between a charging station and a vehicle, the vehicle having a first charging device and a first communication device, the charging station having a second charging device and a second communication device. The first charging device is positioned with respect to the second charging device in a way that energy for charging a battery of the vehicle is transmitted via the charging connection, and an orientation of the second communication device with respect to the first communication device, is such that the communication connection can carry out a wireless exchange of information in a way that reception of the information by a further communication device is prevented. The first communication device and the second communication device are configured in a way that the information is emitted and/or received by means of at least one communication unit.

Establishing a charging connection and an associated communication connection

A method is provided in which a pair of transmitters having omnidirectional and directional transmission characteristics is provided when an associative connection is established between an electric vehicle and a charging station. Once the associative connection has been established in such a way that a directional radio link is formed, the associative connection is tested using an omnidirectional transmitter. Methods and devices that establish communication between a first station and a second station are provided. To this end, an identifier, which identifies the first station and the second station as communication partners for communication, is transmitted between the first and second stations on a first partial connection. After receiving the identifier, communication is started between the first and second stations via a communication connection, wherein the transmission of the identifier via the first partial connection and the communication connection are based on different physical connections. The methods and systems can be used for loading or unloading processes of electrical vehicles, such as autonomous systems in the hospital field, or for vehicles for personal transportation. The methods and systems may provide reliable and cost-effective communication between the first and second stations.

Method and devices for establishing communication between a first station and a second station

In a method and a device for placing units, such as motes, for executing an application in a distributed system, a placement of the units by a service layer and a communication between the units by a communication layer are provided. One field of application is for example process automation, such as in industrial or building management installations. Such installations have sensors and actuators with communication interfaces. The method and the device allow the energy demand of the installation to be reduced. Communication is preferably performed wirelessly. Network management is for example conducted according to the wireless HART protocol.
