Various embodiments may include a measuring device for three-dimensionally sensing elongate cut-outs comprising: an assembly for positioning and fixing on an elongate cut-out of a body; and a 3-D measuring head connectable to the assembly to be aligned with the elongate cut-out for the respective 3-D surface measurement of the elongate cut-out.

A computer-implemented method for analyzing digital holographic microscopy (DHM) data for hematology applications includes receiving a DHM image acquired using a digital holographic microscopy system. The DHM image comprises depictions of one or more cell objects and background. A reference image is generated based on the DHM image. This reference image may then be used to reconstruct a fringe pattern in the DHM image into an optical depth map.

Various embodiments include a structure for positioning a tool on an elongated recess of a workpiece, wherein the elongated recess extends along a first longitudinal axis and has end surfaces on two end faces. The structure may include a plate having a cutout extending along an axis; a centering device; and a clamping device fixedly connected to the plate and the centering device. The cutout, when the second longitudinal axis is aligned parallel to the first longitudinal axis, enframes the elongated recess. The centering device includes a centering jaw movable within the cutout along the second longitudinal axis and also movable into and out of the elongated recess. The clamping device, on the side of the plate facing the elongated recess, includes clamping jaws movable along the second longitudinal axis to come into mechanical contact with one of the end surfaces of the end faces of the elongated recess.

A method for measuring the depth of a surface of a test object may include projecting a colored fringe pattern formed by a sequence of colored fringes onto a surface of the test object, and detecting and evaluating a fringe pattern reflected by the surface of the test object using an evaluation device. The colored fringe pattern and the evaluation device may be designed such that the depth of the surface of the test object is measured based on the sequence of colored fringes of the reflected fringe pattern and based on a sequence of fringe widths of the reflected fringe pattern.

An arrangement for attenuated total reflectance (ATR) infrared spectroscopy uses a reflection matrix for location-resolved spectroscopy of aqueous and/or powdery samples with a high signal-to-noise ratio and without previous complex preparation of the samples. A device and a method for determining three dimensional surface coordinates of an object by means of optical color triangulation are proposed, wherein all lines of a color fringe pattern in each case have a width (BR) set in such a way that, in a recorded image of the line, all contrast maxima (CMax), of all spectral components of a line are equal to a minimum contrast value (CMin) is provided. Proceeding from an invariable smallest width of a pattern line with a spectral component of highest contrast, further lines can be correspondingly widened. The invention is particularly advantageously suitable for a 3D measurement for biological tissue.

An endoscope measures the topography of a surface. The endoscope contains a projection unit and an imaging unit. The endoscope is characterized in that an objective unit is provided as a component both of the projection unit and the imaging unit. By the integration of the projection unit and the imaging unit, which both use a common objective unit, the structural volume required by both units is reduced resulting in a smaller endoscope.

The invention describes an optical deflection element for the refractive production of a spatially structured bundle of light beams fanned concentrically to an optical axis of the deflection element. The optical deflection element has a base body made of optically transparent material, and has a light input and output side. The light input side is configured such that a primary bundle of light beams can be coupled in the base body. The light output side has a cylindrically symmetrical contour, which defines a recess in the base body. The fanning of the primary bundle of light beams is achieved by refraction on rotationally symmetric interfaces, which are variably inclined relative to the optical axis. The invention further relates to an optical measuring device for the three-dimensional measurement of a cavity in an object and a method for producing a concentrically fanned, spatially structured bundle of light beams.

An apparatus for recording a shape of a section of the human ear is provided. The apparatus has a recording device for recording a spatial shape of a first and a second subsection of the section and for recording a position or a variable representing the position of the first and the second subsection relative to a predetermined optical feature of the section. The apparatus has an evaluation device for obtaining shape information about the section by combination of the shapes of the subsections based on the recorded positions or the variables representing the respective position. This enables a number of individual images to be joined together into a three-dimensional map based on natural features in the auditory canal, such as skin flecks or veins for example.

Apparatus and method for recording the shape of an ear section

A confocal displacement sensor is created in which, through a graduated arrangement of optical outputs relative to an imaging optic in the object area of displacement sensor, real images of the optical outputs can be created at different heights. A surface to be measured, which is located in the area between the real images, at least partly scatters back illumination beams emitted by the optical outputs. As such, two measurement beams are created for which the intensities are each recorded by a light detector. This is done by interpolation between the measured light intensities. The height position of the scanned points of the surface can be calculated and the surface to be measured can be measured simultaneously at a number of scanning points. Two planar light sources are preferably used for light generation and two planar high-resolution cameras for light detection.

Confocal displacement sensor

A sensor device is for performing rapid optical measurement of distances according to the confocal optical imaging principle in order to determine distance values and/or height values of a surface. The sensor device includes a point-shaped light-emitting element that is arranged on an optical axis, a reflector, which is arranged perpendicular to the optical axis and which can be displaced along the optical axis, imaging optics centered with regard to the optical axis, and a point-shaped light-receiving element that is situated at the same location as the light-emitting element. The components of the sensor device are arranged in such a manner that: light emitted by the light-emitting element is reflected by the reflector; while the reflector is displaced, the imaging optics focus the light reflected by the reflector at least once onto the surface to be measured; the focussed light is at least partially backscattered by the surface to the measured, and; while the reflector is displaced, the imaging optics focus, via the reflector, the backscattered light at least once onto the light-receiving element.

Sensor device for performing rapid optical measurement of distances according to the confocal optical imaging principle

A confocal spacer switch for a fast, non-contacting determination of the spacing includes a point-shaped element that simultaneously transmits and receives light, imaging optics that form an image of the light-emitting element on a switching range and a light detection device that is coupled to the light-receiving element and emits a signal if an at least partially reflecting object enters the switching range and reflected light falls onto on the light-receiving element. The light-emitting and the light-receiving element preferably is realized with an optical waveguide end. As a result, the optical spacer switch can be divided into two modules that are connected via the optical waveguide, wherein a purely optical module can be realized in a compact and lightweight manner. A method for inserting components on substrates, uses the spacer switch, for which the insertion speed of the components is reduced immediately prior to inserting them. Thus, the impact of the component with the substrate is reduced, for an on the whole fast insertion operation.

A confocal imaging system is equipped with a retroreflector, which oscillates with a high frequency, for increasing the data rate during the recording of distance values. A mirror system having a small mass is provided that, by use of an electrostatic drive, makes extremely rapid focusing movements or height detections possible in the case of a small mass. The mirror system includes two separate micromechanically produced mirrors, which are set at 90&deg; to one another and which synchronously oscillate in the direction of the optical axis of the confocal imaging system.
