A storage phosphor plate assembly includes at least one storage phosphor plate having a storage phosphor layer for storing X-ray information and a substrate layer on which the storage phosphor layer is provided. The substrate layer contains a permanent magnetic material, and a support plate contains a magnetic material, the at least one storage phosphor plate being held on the support plate due to magnetic forces. The invention further relates to an X ray cassette and a system for reading out storage phosphor plate. An easy and safe handling of storage phosphor plates of various sizes and/or forms, in particular during the read-out process in the read-out system, is achieved.

An apparatus and a corresponding system and method for reading out X-ray information stored in a storage phosphor plate includes a receiving device, in particular a cassette, for receiving the storage phosphor plate, a removal device for removing the storage phosphor plate from the receiving device, and a reading device for irradiating the storage phosphor plate removed from the receiving device with stimulation light and for detecting emitted light excited thereby in the storage phosphor plate. In order to permit as reliable a removal and/or return of the storage phosphor plate from and to the receiving device as possible while providing a simple design, the removal device has at least one removal element, which can be coupled to the storage phosphor plate and which can move along a curved path.

Apparatus, system and method for reading out X-ray information stored in storage phosphor plates

An apparatus and a corresponding system for reading out X-ray information stored in a storage phosphor plate includes a reading device for irradiating the storage phosphor plate with stimulation light and for detecting emitted light excited thereby in the storage phosphor plate, and a transport device for transporting the storage phosphor plate relative to the reading device and having a roller drive and at least one roller that can be set rotating about the axis of rotation thereof by the roller drive. In order to simplify the design of the apparatus and of the system while providing as reliable a transport of the storage phosphor plate as possible, the roller includes at least one magnetic area that has a helical progression.

The invention relates to a receptacle () for receiving a phosphor storage plate () comprising a phosphor storage layer () for storing X-ray information. Said receptacle () comprises a cover plate () with a first recess () and a base plate () which is at a distance from the cover plate () such that a receiving chamber () for receiving the phosphor storage plate () is arranged between the base plate () and the cover plate (). Said phosphor storage plate () is maintained in the receiving chamber () between the cover plate () and the base plate (). The first recess () of the cover plate () is above the surface of the phosphor storage layer () of the received phosphor storage plate () when the phosphor storage plate () is received. The invention also relates to an X-ray cassette () provided with said type of receiving device ().

Receptacle for receiving a phosphor storage plate and X-ray cassette

The invention relates to an X-ray cassette () for a phosphor storage plate (), having two openings () for inserting the phosphor storage plate () into the X-ray cassette () and for withdrawing the phosphor storage plate () arranged in the X-ray cassette () from the cassette. Two flaps () are also provided for closing the two openings (). The invention also relates to a system () comprising said type of X-ray cassette () and a reading out device () for reading out the phosphor storage plate () arranged in the X-ray cassette (). The reading-out device () comprises a feeding element () for feeding the X-ray cassette () into the device. Said feeding element () is designed in such a manner that if the X-ray cassette () is fed into the feeding element with one of its openings (), the other opening () of the X-ray cassette () is accessible to an operator.
