A method for actuating an X-ray device during robot-assisted navigation of at least two objects introduced into a body, such as a hollow organ, of a patient by at least one robotic system, includes providing a first selection criterion for selecting one of the objects, and providing a second selection criterion for selecting one of the objects. One of the at least two objects is selected based on the first selection criterion and the second selection criterion, and recording parameters of the X-ray device are automatically set, such that the selected object in an X-ray image to be recorded is highlighted compared to the at least one other object. The selected object may be highlighted with respect to image quality, image flavor, positioning on the X-ray image, and/or a collimator setting of a collimator of the X-ray device. An X-ray image is recorded with the set recording parameters.

Actuating an x-ray device and medical system

According to a computer-implemented method for the automatic localization of a structure, an individual image which maps an object with the structure is displayed on a display surface. A gaze movement of a user is captured by a gaze capture system and, on the basis thereof, a gaze capture signal is generated. By a computer unit, dependent upon the gaze capture signal, at least one image point of the individual image is identified, which at least partially maps the structure.

Automatic localization of a structure

In order to reduce a radiation dose delivered to an object or an observer, a facility for monitoring handling of the object has an optical unit configured to direct ionizing radiation onto the object and also a filter element in order to attenuate a part of the ionizing radiation. An imaging unit may detect portions of the ionizing radiation passing through the object in order to create an image of the object. A view acquisition system may acquire a viewing movement, and a control unit is configured, during a first operating mode, to control a position of the filter element as a function of the viewing movement. The control unit is configured to identify a predefined sequence of viewing movements and, as a function thereof, to switch into a second operating mode. The position of the filter element is controlled during the second operating mode as a function of an image analysis.

Monitoring handling of an object

The embodiments relate to a method for adapting at least one radiation parameter of a beam source in an x-ray device, wherein the beam source is activated according to the radiation parameter for providing x-radiation, wherein, as long as the filter element is not being moved, the radiation parameter is specified based on image data acquired in a transillumination region by the beam detector, wherein at least one interim image is recorded at least partially within a movement interval during which the filter element is moved, after which the radiation parameter is specified independently of the image data of the interim image or after which exclusively image data of the interim image that are acquired in an overlapping region of the beam detector that lies within the transillumination region during the entire recording interval are taken into account in the determination of the radiation parameter.

A method for real-time collimation and ROI-filter positioning in X-ray imaging in interventional procedures includes acquiring an image of a region-of-interest (ROI) at a beginning of a medical intervention procedure on a subject, classifying the image based on low-level features in the image to determine a type of procedure being performed, determining a list of landmarks in the image from the type of procedure being performed, and loading a pre-trained landmark model for each landmark in the list of landmarks, where landmarks include anatomical structures of the subject and medical devices being used in the medical intervention procedure, and computing collimator settings of an X-ray imaging device from ROI filter margins and bounding boxes of the landmarks calculated using the landmark models.

A method for adapting the brightness of an X-ray image is provided. The X-ray image is recorded using a filter attenuating X-ray radiation used for recording the X-ray image differently in at least two spatial filter regions. The method includes determining image regions mapping the filter regions from filter parameters and recording geometry parameters describing the filter regions from at least one evaluation line running perpendicular to a boundary between image regions. The method also includes determining, for each evaluation line, a correction value describing a difference in brightness between the image regions from an image value profile along the evaluation line in an evaluation area containing the boundary, determining at least one correction factor from the at least one correction value, and adapting the brightness between the at least two image regions by scaling the image values with the correction factor.

An x-ray apparatus has a flat panel x-ray detector, the operation of which is susceptible to interference by strong magnetic fields. In order to allow the x-ray system to be operated concurrently with a magnetic system, such as a magnetic tracking system or a magnetic localization system, that emits a magnetic field of sufficient field strength to interfere with the operation of the flat panel x-ray detector, a control unit is provided that operates both the flat panel x-ray detector and the magnetic system. The control unit synchronizes operation of the magnetic system with the operation of the flat panel x-ray detector so that the magnetic system emits the magnetic field only at times that do not interfere with the operation of the flat panel x-ray detector.

An x-ray diagnostics installation has an x-ray generator, an x-ray tube and an x-ray image intensifier to which a video camera with a CCD image sensor is coupled. An x-ray diagnostics installation has an operating voltage generator, an x-ray tube, an x-ray image intensifier, a video camera, a video amplifier having controllable gain, an integration circuit and a control circuit that acts on the operating voltage for dose rate control. The x-ray diagnostics installation is fashioned such that the control circuit is connected to the video amplifier and to the integration circuit and controls these components such that the gain of the video amplifier is raised when a limit value of the dose rate control is reached, with parameters of the integration circuit being simultaneously modified.

An x-ray diagnostics installation has an x-ray source, an x-ray image intensifier connected to a video chain and a processing circuit which controls various components of the installation. The processing circuit includes a weighting circuit which allocates an individual weighting factor to different regions of the x-ray image. The processing circuit also includes an evaluation circuit, connected to the weighting circuit, which combines the signals from the weighted image regions to form an actual value signal, which is used to control certain of the components of the installation.
