A method configures, in a semi-automatic manner, a communication device, connected to a packet-switched network, especially Internet, for communication with another, especially remote, subscriber. For this purpose, configuration data are provided on a configuration/software update server and are retrieved by the user of the device according to the user-specific or device-specific conditions by selecting from at least two types of inquiry data characterizing the conditions, e.g. inquiry data containing first country information items and second inquiry data containing second Internet service provider information items, and determination data.

The invention relates to identifying and/or addressing a data terminal device (DEE) of a local network (LNW, LAN, W-LAN, Ethernet, Powerline) such that address/identification information (AID-INF) of the data terminal device of the local network is available to a user of the local network in a simple and comfortable manner, wherein the data terminal device registers with a terminal system (ESY) due to a triggering event (ALE), indicated for example, by the URL 'www.mygigaset.com' and present, for example, in a large area network (GNW, WAN, MAN, INTERNET), and transmits thereto address/identification information, for example modifiable information (AID-INF), referencing the local network and the large area network. The terminal system compares the transmitted address/identification information (AID-INF, AID-INF) to each other, and transmits to the further data terminal device a part of the address/identification information (AID-INF) referring back to the local network as the address/identification information (AID-INF) of the data terminal device (DEE), because both data terminal devices are present in the same local network, in order that said data terminal device can communicate directly with the data terminal device (DEE).

The invention relates to a method and a device for digital data radiotransmission between a fixed station () and at least one mobile station () at one or several carrier frequencies (F, F. . . ), wherein the data is transmitted in several time slots (Z, Z. . . ) according to the time-multiplex technique. A specific amount of time is required to change from one carrier frequency to another carrier frequency using a slow-hopping HF module. To transmit service data in telecommunication systems with wireless telecommunication based on a predefined radio interface protocol between telecommunication devices, especially voice data and/or packet data in DECT systems, with enhanced utilization of the bandwith of the telecommunication system and at a greater transmission rate, service data units to be transmitted are transported by radio cascaded (a cascade arrangement) in protocol data units adapted to the radio interface protocol.
