The invention relates to a medical instrument guiding device comprising the medical instrument, a monitoring device () comprising a support () and a medical imaging probe () which is arranged on the support, a screen (), and a control unit () of the device which is connected to the screen and the probe for generating at least one three-dimensional image, the control unit being configured to generate at least one two-dimensional image on the screen showing a deformation of the instrument from at least the three-dimensional image, the control unit being configured to estimate a virtual path of the instrument from the deformation of the instrument for extending the insertion thereof to a target, and deduce therefrom at least one distance between the virtual path and the target.

Instrument guiding device

The invention concerns a device for displaying an internal organ of a patient comprising a computer () and a screen () connected to the computer in order to display at least one image of the internal organ. According to the invention, the computer is arranged to determine, from at least one medical examination previously carried out on the internal organ, at least one confidence area () and/or at least one affected area (), at least partially encompassing one or more portions () of the internal organ where samples have been taken and/or at least partially encompassing one or more areas previously identified as suspect during a medical imaging procedure, and to display, on the screen, the image of the internal organ supplemented with the confidence area and/or the affected area. The invention also concerns a corresponding display method.

Device for visualizing an internal organ of a patient and associated visualization method

The invention relates to an assistive device for positioning a medical instrument () inserted into a natural duct () or an artificial duct of a patient relative to an internal organ (P) of a patient, wherein the device comprises a support () that is to be inserted at least in part into the body of the patient and supports the medical instrument, means for moving the support, wherein said movement means comprise an articulated arm () that includes a plurality of degrees of freedom for moving a proximal end () of the support, means for acquiring images of the internal organ for positioning the medical instrument relative to the internal organ, wherein the image acquisition means comprise a probe () supported by the support such that the medical instrument and the probe are rigidly connected, and a control unit () for controlling the movement means, which is connected to the image acquisition means and comprises image analyzing means () for generating control commands for the articulated arm in order to control at least one movement of the medical instrument relative to the internal organ. The invention further relates to a method for controlling such a device.

Assistive device for positioning a medical instrument relative to an internal organ of a patient

A device for guiding a medical instrument () inserted into a natural duct () or an artificial duct of a patient in order to bring at least a distal end () of the instrument in proximity to an internal organ (). The device includes an articulated arm () with a plurality of degrees of freedom, for moving a proximal end () of the instrument, and a controlled blocking mechanism () for blocking the degrees of freedom of the articulated arm. The blocking mechanism is designed in such a way that, for at least one of the degrees of freedom, a blockage imposed on the degree of freedom can be released when an outer stress exerted on the instrument () exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Device for guiding a medical instrument inserted into a natural duct or an artificial duct of a patient

A device for guiding a medical imaging probe in order to move the probe close to an anatomical space, the probe having a mechanism for acquiring images of the anatomical space, and the device having at least one sensor mounted to the probe. The device includes a processing mechanism for deducing a rotation of the probe in the space from the signals generated by the sensor and for estimating a plurality of plausible positions of the probe relative to the anatomical space by deducing the rotation of the probe in the space. The processing mechanism is arranged such as to determine the position of the probe relative to the anatomical space from the plausible positions. Also disclosed is a method for guiding the probe.

Device for guiding a medical imaging probe and method for guiding such a probe

A needle holder device for treating the prostate, involving a series of steps of inserting a needle into the prostate, has a rectal probe for ultrasonic 3D imaging and a computer for processing the image acquired by the probe and for computing the position of the needle relative to the prostate. The computer is controlled so as to periodically output information on the movement of the prostate after each of the insertion steps in order to validate the insertion parameters relative to a treatment schedule and, if need be, modifying the insertion parameters relative to the schedule in the event the movement is greater than a threshold value.

Control system and method for precisely guiding a percutaneous needle toward the prostate

The present disclosure relates to a prostatic imaging system including steps of recording and processing images acquired by the ultrasonographic head of a rectal probe equipped with an active puncture guide, characterized in that it includes steps of processing at least a part of the images acquired by the probe for calculating transformations to a 'reference image' repository relative to the initial position of the prostate, at least a part of the images acquired during the successive punctures including the location of the various positions of the needle being recorded with a view to visualising representations thereof on a single image including at least a part of the prostate. The present disclosure also relates to a system for the prostatic imaging implementing said prostatic imaging method.
