The invention relates to a self-contained motorization system comprising at least one electric motor (), a controller () adapted to drive the operation of the electric motor (), a set of accumulators of power type () adapted to feed the motor (), a central control unit (), a base () adapted for removably receiving a set of accumulators of energy type () and a direct current converter () adapted for connecting the set of accumulators of energy type () to the set of accumulators of power type. The self-contained motorization system makes it possible to meet both high power needs and significant self-containment needs, while allowing easy maintenance and the use of technologies not subject to transport restrictions.

Self-contained motorization system

An electrical power supply system is provided comprising a number of rechargeable cells, a number of control electronics circuits and a charger which consists of apparatus for producing electricity from a renewable energy source, the electrochemical cells being divided into separate branches connected in parallel to the charger. Each control electronics circuit controls the charging of one branch by measuring a current being applied to the branch, integrating the current measured in the branch, determining a state of charge of the cell or cells of the branch, comparing the integrated current value with a set value set as a function of the determined state of charge, and interrupting the passage of current being applied to the branch when the integrated current reaches the set value. This system makes it possible to optimize the sharing out of charging current between parallel branches of battery cells while being adaptable as regards the number of cells used in parallel in the system.

Power supply system and method for controlling electrochemical cell charging

A method for managing the charge of a battery having at least one rechargeable electrochemical cell. A charging circuit applies a trickle charge current to the battery and, when the temperature of the battery is below a first threshold temperature, an overcharge current for keeping the battery within its nominal temperature range even if the battery is employed in a cold environment. And a related electronic system for a battery implementing the method and a battery employing such system.
