The present invention relates to a device () for inspecting objects () moving in a flow (F) on a surface () moving in a direction (D), this device () comprising a lighting means () providing an illuminated strip () at the surface (), a detection means () having an optical axis (AO) and, finally, a means () for processing and evaluating the signals supplied by the detection means () in order to detect the presence of the moving objects (), map their height and/or determine their volume. This device () is characterised in that the median plane (PM) of the light beam () and the optical axis (AO) of the detection means () have an angle (AP) between them, in that the image of the illuminated strip () acquired by the detection means () has a width equal to at least three times the resolution of the means (), and in that the lighting means () is configured in such a way that the illuminated strip () generated at the support surface () is delimited by two opposing straight parallel edges and has a sufficient contrast with respect to the non-illuminated zones (), regardless of the colour of the object ().

Device for inspecting objects in a moving flow and machine comprising such a device

A machine for automatically inspecting a flow (F) of individual objects () on a conveying plane () includes at least one illumination station () and at least one detection station (') below which the flow (F) of objects to be inspected passes. The at least one illumination station () has means () for applying and focusing inspecting beams (R) defining a transverse focused illuminated region (ZEF) The at least one detection station (&#x2032;) has a means () defining a detection region (ZD) in the form of a transverse strip of size (L) as well as means () for capturing and transmitting the signal contained in a pixel () scanning the detection region (ZD). The focused illuminated region (ZEF) fits along the entire width (L) of the detection region (ZD) within this detection region.

Machine and method for inspecting a flow of objects

The invention relates to a portable and self-contained optical spectrometer for analyzing a light spectrum backscattered by an illuminated sample, in order to deduce the content of at least one compound constituting the sample, said spectrometer being arranged about an optical axis and including: a target area centered on said optical axis; a plurality of optical sensors trained on the target area; an opaque measurement chamber including: an opening centered on said optical axis; at least one diffusing filter blocking said opening; and an inner bottom capable of housing the plurality of optical sensors and a main illumination device capable of illuminating the sample. This invention has as its object an automatic process and machine for inspecting and sorting non-metallic objects. A device and a method for automatically inspecting objects traveling in an essentially monolayer flow. The device comprises a detection unit through which the object flow passes, consisting of the following: elements for applying electromagnetic radiation in the direction of the plane of conveyance of the objects and defining a lighting plane, the intersection of the lighting plane and plane of conveyance defining a detection line; a receiver device periodically scanning each point on the detection line and receiving radiation reflected by an elementary measuring zone, the plane defined by the detection line and the optical input center being known as the scanning plane; elements for transmitting the reflected radiation. The radiation emitted is concentrated in the region of the lighting plane and the lighting plane and the scanning plane merge, whereupon the joint plane is inclined in relation to the normal of the plane of conveyance.

Process for using localized agricultural data to optimize the cultivation of perennial plants

Device and method of on-board weighing of harvested materials on a harvesting machine having a path for the harvested material. The device includes first and second weighing devices disposed near each other on a common support and being connected to an electronic computer. The first and second weighing devices are one of an electronic balance or scale. The second weighing device is equipped with a weighing platform which is installed in the path of the harvested material. A feed system is included which is independent of the weighing platform The method includes supporting a known fixed mass on the first weighing device, successively weighing the known fixed mass on the first weighing device, feeding, with the feeding system, the harvested material continuously and in successive lots onto the weighing platform of the second weighing device, weighing the harvested material on the second weighing device, and processing signals from the first and second weighing devices using the computer. The computer performs algorithmic processing of the signals to eliminate a dynamic interference effect which results from one of slopes, tilts and vibrations of the harvesting machine.
