Embodiments relate to a system, program product, and method for protecting cache access in a multi-tenant environment, and, more specifically, for allowing access to specified data, encrypted or unencrypted, in a shared cache to authorized tenants, while denying access to the data for unauthorized tenants. The system includes a server including one or more shared cache and a plurality of tenant devices coupled to the server. The server is configured to run one or more applications thereon, where each tenant has access to one or more authorized instances of the applications. The system also includes a cache proxy coupled to the tenant devices and the shared cache. The cache proxy facilitates enforcing one or more schemes to provide for separation of data for authorized tenants and their users using the shared cache from unauthorized tenants and users.

An apparatus and method provides visualization of IT resources that are exposed as WSDM resources. A management system with a console provides visibility and functionality for WSDM resources by employing a visualization mechanism that processes standardized visualization metadata that is sent from a WSDM resource. A first data model in which a large dataset is stored is maintained, wherein a first set of operations is allowed to be performed on the first data model. The first data model is reduced to a second data model that is of a smaller size than the first data model. A second set of operations is performed on the second data model, wherein the second set of operations is a subset of the first set of operations, and wherein the second set of operations does not include the selected operations that have been restricted from being performed on the second data model.

In an embodiment, a sentence is created that describes a walk of a graph. The graph includes a set of nodes and a set of edges that are incident to the nodes. The sentence includes label words that describe the nodes and relationship words that describe the edges. The walk is an alternating sequence of a subset of the nodes and of the edges. Each of the edges in the walk is incident to two of the nodes that precede and follow the respective edge. The sentence is created by determining a parent node associated with a selected label word, determining the child nodes of the parent node, determining the edges that are incident to the parent nodes and the child nodes, determining relationship words that describe the edges that are incident to the parent nodes and the child nodes, and determining child label words that describe the child nodes. A selected relationship word and a selected child label word are then added to the sentence. In this way, a walk of the graph may be more easily understood.

An apparatus, program product and method provide a generic error reporting and diagnosis framework that is readily suited for use in a wide variety of distributed computing environments, and that supports the autonomic reporting, diagnosis, and potentially the remediation of errors. The framework supports the encapsulation of symptomatic data associated with an error in a component of a distributed computing environment such that the encapsulated symptomatic data may be routed to an error processing facility, typically irrespective of the underlying nature of the error and the hardware and/or software platform of the component that generated the error. The error processing facility is in turn capable of routing the encapsulated symptomatic data to one or more diagnostic agents that are capable of processing the symptomatic data to prescribe a treatment for the error.
