Architectures and techniques are presented that can more efficiently route excess air flow by intelligently selecting the zones to which the excess air flow is to be routed. Excess air flow results from an HVAC device providing (e.g., at a minimum setting) a volume of air that is greater than what is demanded by a zone that triggers activation of the HVAC device. As one example, excess air flow can be routed to a zone or zones that are determined to be most likely to trigger a subsequent activation condition that would cause the HVAC device to be activated again at a future time.

Efficiently routing excess air flow

Method and systems for dynamically generating or editing a graphical dashboard via a graphical user interface (GUI) setup are provided. The method includes determining a type of a plant through the GUI setup, determining a configuration of the plant through the GUI setup, determining at least one component of the plant through the GUI setup, and configuring parameters of the at least one component and/or the plant through the GUI setup. The method also includes generating the dashboard including a plant control logic of the plant based on the type, the configuration, the at least one component, and the parameters of the at least one component and/or the plant. The method further includes controlling the plant based on the plant control logic.

Dynamic creation of plant control graphical user interface and plant control logic

A switchable filtration system for a heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) system is disclosed. The filtration system includes a first filter, a second filter, a switching apparatus, and a controller. The controller is configured to determine an air quality score. When the air quality score exceeds a predetermined threshold, the controller controls the switching apparatus to switch the first filter out of an active airflow path. When the air quality score is at or below the predetermined threshold, the controller controls the switching apparatus to switch the first filter into the active airflow path.

Switchable filtration system

Architectures or techniques are presented that can facilitate automated function testing (AFT) in connection with an HVAC system or component thereof. The architectures detailed herein can facilitate creation, modification, or duplication of quiz data (e.g., a test). This quiz data can be executed in order to automatically test the function of the HVAC system or component. Additionally, prior to execution, a verification procedure can be performed to ensure that an expected state indicated in the quiz data can in fact be exhibited by the device. Further, execution of the quiz data can include an exit condition that, when satisfied can cause termination of the execution prior to completion. Such can be useful to avoid potentially dangerous situations or to avoid undue disruption to a service provided by the HVAC system.

Automated testing of HVAC devices

A chiller plant is disclosed. The chiller plant includes a chiller circuit including a chiller, a first process fluid circuit, and a first heat exchanger. The chiller is configured to provide a first process fluid at a first temperature. The chiller plant also includes an air handling circuit including a plurality of ice storage tanks and an air handling unit. The chiller plant further includes a terminal cooling circuit including a plurality of terminals, the terminal cooling circuit providing a second process fluid to the plurality of terminals at a second temperature that is different from the first temperature. The terminal cooling circuit is fluidly separate from, but thermally communicates with, the chiller circuit via the first heat exchanger.
