A support device having a support with a body portion having a left and right side defining a width therebetween and opposed superior and inferior edges defining a length therebetween. The body portion has an upper surface and an opposed bottom surface defining a thickness, the inferior edge defining a notch indented into the body portion, the notch extending coextensively in the top and bottom surfaces throughout the thickness of the body portion. A left and right arm wing extending laterally from the body portion, the left and right arm wing extending a distance between the superior and inferior edges, wherein the left arm wing and right arm wing are configured to be rolled into an arcuate shape having an interior channel defined by the upper surface.

Patient stabilization device and methods of use

Embodiments include active protection systems and methods for an aerial platform. An onboard system includes radar modules, detects aerial vehicles within a threat range of the aerial platform, and determines if any of the aerial vehicles are an aerial threat. The onboard system also determines an intercept vector to the aerial threat, communicates the intercept vector to an eject vehicle, and causes the eject vehicle to be ejected from the aerial platform to intercept the aerial threat. The eject vehicle includes alignment thrusters to rotate a longitudinal axis of the eject vehicle to substantially align with the intercept vector, a rocket motor to accelerate the eject vehicle along an intercept vector, divert thrusters to divert the eject vehicle in a direction substantially perpendicular to the intercept vector, and attitude control thrusters to make adjustments to the attitude of the eject vehicle.

Methods and apparatuses for aerial interception of aerial threats

Embodiments include engagement management systems and methods for managing engagement with aerial threats. Such systems include radar modules and detect aerial threats within a threat range of a base location. The systems also track intercept vehicles and control flight paths and detonation capabilities of the intercept vehicles. The systems are capable of communication between multiple engagement management systems and coordinated control of multiple intercept vehicles.

Methods and apparatuses for engagement management of aerial threats

Described herein are methods for treating preterm labor, stopping labor prior to Cesarean delivery, preventing preterm labor, or controlling the timing of parturition by administering a chemical compound, such as a muscarinic receptor antagonist preferably a M, receptor antagonist, or a &#x3b2;-3 adrenergic agonist. Also described are methods for treating preterm labor, stopping labor preparatory to Cesarean delivers', preventing preterm labor, or controlling the timing of parturition by administering an effective amount of transdermal stimulation, posterior tibial nerve stimulation or another form of non-invasive or invasive neuromodulation, unstimulated or stimulated acupuncture, magnetic field therapy, or vibratory stimulation. These methods may be practiced individually, in combination with each other, or in combination with known tocolytic methods or medications.

Methods of treating or preventing preterm labor

The present disclosure provides a patient positioning device and methods of using such a device that allows for the easy securing of the device to the operating room table or hospital bed, a comfortable surface for patients to rest on during their diagnostic, therapeutic or surgical procedure, that helps reduce the likelihood of developing pressure ulcers, protects the patient by providing an infectious barrier, helps protects the patient from electrical injury by creating a non-conductive barrier between the patient the metal operating table, and protects the operating room table and equipment with an integrated, impermeable barrier to prevent blood, other bodily fluids and other fluids such as intravenous fluids, blood products and irrigation from soiling the operating or procedure table and nearby equipment. The device overcomes several challenges that exist with current devices and methods and is simple, disposable, and cost-effective. It allows for easier, faster and safer patient positioning, improved infection control, lower risk of electrical injury, improved protection from pressure ulcer formation, less waste compared to current options in a single, one-package solution. Additionally, a leg portion of the device can include an inflatable member which serves as a Sequential Compression Device which can be repeatedly inflated/deflated to facilitate circulation and prevent formation of blood clots.
