An example cable assembly includes: a first plurality of conductors in a Litz cable arrangement; an outer protective layer configured to protect the plurality of conductors from physical damage; and a second plurality of conductors that are electrically isolated from the first plurality of conductors and are protected by the outer protective layer from physical damage.

Induction heating extension cables including control conductors

Apparatuses, systems, and/or methods for providing an induction heating system are disclosed. The induction heating system includes an induction power supply and an induction heating tool configured to receive induction-type power from the induction power supply through one or more ports. The ports may be part of the induction power supply and/or an associated junction box. The induction heating tool may include a heating coil attached to one or more plugs via one or more cables. The ports of the induction power supply and/or junction box are configured to receive the plugs of the induction heating tool. A communication device may be positioned adjacent the ports. The communication device may be configured to read data from one or more memory devices of the induction heating tool (e.g., in/on the plugs) via close proximity communication.

A system and device operating using a welding power bus are provided. One welding power supply includes control circuitry configured to control the operation of the welding power supply and power conversion circuitry configured to convert input power to output welding power. The welding power supply also includes welding terminals configured to receive the output welding power from the power conversion circuitry and to provide the output welding power to a device that does not use the welding power for a welding operation. The control circuitry is configured to adapt the output welding power to the device.

The plasma cutting system includes a proportional valve and a sensing device arrangement and a controller connected to this arrangement. The system is configured to dynamically control gas flow in a plasma torch. In some examples, an induction heating system includes an induction heating power supply and an induction heating tool configured to receive induction heating type power from the induction power supply through a modular transformer. In some examples, the modular transformer comprises a first coupler (e.g., a power receptacle) and a second coupler (e.g., a power insert) configured to couple together to complete the modular transformer, and/or decouple to separate the modular transformer. In some examples, the first coupler is in electrical communication with the induction heating power supply, and the second coupler is in electrical communication with the induction heating tool. When the first and second couplers are coupled together to complete the modular transformer, induction heating power flows through the modular transformer from the induction heating power supply to the induction heating tool.

A welding device for remotely controlling welding power supply settings is provided. One embodiment of the welding device includes a welding pendant having a control panel configured to control a plurality of settings of a welding power supply. The control panel is not part of the welding power supply and the plurality of settings includes a welding current output by the welding power supply. The welding pendant also includes a welding power input configured to receive welding power and data from the welding power supply via a welding power cable. The welding power is combined with the data such that the data is provided over the welding power cable.

An example induction heating accessory comprises: a coupling circuit configured to be electromagnetically coupled to a cable carrying induction heating current; a power extraction circuit configured to extract power from the induction heating current via the coupling circuit; and circuitry configured to generate an output indicative of the induction heating current flowing through the cable based on receiving power via the induction coil.
