Beveled headrail

This invention relates to a continuous cord roll up window blind. This continuous cord roll up window blind has an endless cord that engages and causes a sprocket to rotate. The sprocket in turn causes a take up spool to rotate. When the take up spool rotates, a take up cord, which is wrapped around the window covering material, either wraps around or unwraps from the take up spool, depending upon which way the take up spool is rotated. This in turn causes the take up cord to raise or lower the window covering material. A take up cord guide is positioned by the take up cord and, when the window blind is completely rolled down, limits the direction in which the endless cord can be pulled to require that the window blind be rolled up toward the interior surface of the window blind.

Continuous cord roll up blind

A headrail and bracket combination is provided in which the headrail comprises a main body portion in the form of a U-shaped channel the forward wall of which is suspended from a top plate of the bracket and also restrained against forward motion, and the rear wall of the main body is supported by a rear plate of the bracket, the bracket being adapted for mounting on a window frame. An end plate is also provided for the bracket for end mounting, which end plate can be removed from view either by breaking it off or by bending it backwardly out of sight.

Headrail and bracket combination for supporting blinds

Adjustable telescoping drapery traverse rods are provided with positive drive means for master carriers comprising an essentially non-stretchable perforated drive tape and toothed drive-sprocket. Apparatus is also provided for adjusting the points of connection between the master carriers and the tape from the outside of the rod after the length of the rod has been adjusted to fit a given window (or the like) opening.
