The medical device (e.g., dialysis machine) including an ultrasonic generator and emitter arranged and configured to emit an ultrasonic high frequency sound to prevent bug infestation.

A dialysis machine (e.g., a peritoneal dialysis machine) may include a housing. The machine may further include a leak detector disposed in the housing, the leak detector being an electrical circuit. In response to fluid contacting the leak detector, a leak in the dialysis machine is detectable. The machine is configured to send a signal based on a short of the electrical circuit from fluid contact with the leak detector to indicate a leak condition.

In one aspect, a peritoneal dialysis system includes a tray for supporting a bag that can receive dialysate from a source of dialysate, multiple force sensors disposed adjacent a portion of the tray that is in contact with the bag when the bag is supported by the tray, and one or more processors configured to receive data from the multiple force sensors and to determine, based on the data, an amount of dialysate contained in the bag.
